Congratulations!! With your help, Clay Aiken has a list of favorite Holiday Songs. If he were to put these on a new Christmas album, I think most of us would be very happy.
Do you think he will give credit to “The Readers of CANN?” (Ha Ha)
All together, 62 different songs were submitted and there were 148 votes. I am not counting the entries that said “anything Clay sings is fine.” The songs ranged from well-known carols to unusual finds. Some of the songs were sung by Clay in concert, but many were childhood favorites, according to some comments.
So……here are the most popular songs. The songs are in order, most popular first.
1. Celebrate Me Home (with growl)
2. Welcome To Our World
3. O Beautiful Star of Bethlehem
4. What Child Is This?
5. Blue Christmas
6. Ave Maria
7. Do You Hear What I Hear?
8. Good News
9. It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year
10. I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day
11. Christmas Day
12. White Christmas
13. Little Drummer Boy
14. It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas
15. Who Would Imagine A King
Yes…..there are too many songs, but maybe a few could be bonus songs!!
Fans are also very artistically talented and perhaps the following could be considered for the cover.
Oh my gosh, I love all the album covers but that third one is perfection! I think he would rock those songs for sure. Maybe next Christmas we'll get a wonderful present 🙂
This would truly be an awesome album from Clay Aiken. CMH and WTOW were also at the top of my list.
Hoping a year from now we'll be hearing Clay Aiken sing some of those submitted songs off his new album!!! (And on radio)
Oh my…The songs I picked are #1 Celebrate Me Home, #2 Welcome To Our World, and #5 Blue Christmas. What a great selection. I also think he would sound great on #4 What Child Is This, and #6 Ave Maria. I would love to see a new Christmas CD with these songs on it. Thanks so much for that list.
I love #3 for the Album Cover also!!
I'm a huge fan of GOOD NEWS and I don't think a lot of people know that song.
There is not a Christmas song that Clay does not sing well. He brings the true meaning of Christmas to each and every song he sings.
What a great selection of songs, I would love to have another Clay Aiken CD of Christmas songs.
This is a wonderful selection of songs. Tonight I heard Blue Christmas and was thinking how much I'd love to hear Clay sing the song. Decca seems to be with it and wants to stay in communication with the fans. Why not send the suggestion through to Decca. Who knows, maybe they'll go for it. I'll never get tired of MCWL but I sure could handle MCWL2. That's the only present I'd ever need.
I'd go with No. 2 for a cover. I like Clay just fine in glasses but prefer him without. His eyes and eyelashes show so much better without the glasses.
Thanks for taking the poll and why not forward it to Decca. Maybe they will listen.
This is a great list of songs. It would make a great album.
Thanks for putting this together.
CLAY…………I really want to hear from you!! I know you are working hard, but PLEASE….just a little hint!!
What a wonderful list of songs! I love any Christmas song that Clay Aiken sings!
Seriously…how do you pick a favourite cd cover…they are all beautiful…..Gosh…I love #1, the wording and the pic…I really, really love #3, cause I love the natural hair, and the colour seems to be his…and I do love him in glasses…I love natural Clay.
The list of songs is wonderful…but then again….there are so many more….Clay needs like a Christmas set..maybe 4 cd's of Christmas music…that would maybe satisfy us….???? We never can have enough Clay Christmas music… I love everything he sings…
Hugs,
Judy
I would love any of those songs on a new xmas album from Clay. He has given me chills many, many times singing Christmas songs. His love for the songs and the meaning of Christmas is so apparent.
Someone needs to forward our list to Clay and make sure he spells "CANN" correctly in the liner notes. 🙂
Ditto! Someone please make sure Clay gets a copy of this fan-picked list! It could be called "Merry Christmas from CANNs" (LOL)
And please let him know that if he wanted to add a few songs, we promise not to be too mad over a double-CD :-)))
