On the morning of Wednesday, May 11th, many people were surprised when Clay had “an announcement about his candidacy.”

Clay was speaking at a morning press conference. He was joined by candidate Ward. Clay spoke about the “dark money” given to one of the candidates in the 4th district. He was told that the 4th district democratic primary was the most expensive house race in the country. But…Clay was disappointed that someone trying to win the 4th district was using this money.

Later, Clay was busy as the Special Guest Host at the DPAC – Rising Stars Awards. The evening was filled with talented young high school students who were “stars” in the Central North Carolina theatre Awards. I feel sure that this was an excellent time for all.

Now………what will happen between now and May 17th?
