Today is December 28th…there are only four days left in 2015.  Since I am interested in news relating to Clay Aiken, I thought it would be interesting to choose some special moments from 2015 for Clay Aiken and his fans.

Looking back over the year, it has been fun to review all the different events Clay chose to be involved in. Some of you will wonder why I left out one of your special moment to remember.  Hold on to these ideas and please, share them with us.

So…for the next few days I’ll be posting my favorite Clay Aiken events for 2015.  As always, your comments are appreciated

January – February – March

Television Critic’s Association Press Tour

Journalists from all over the country gather to learn about some of the exciting programming the networks have planned for the upcoming season. The TCA says that each press tour generates about 40,000 stories during the two-week event. It is a special time that the critics have face-to-face contacts with network executives, producers and actors.

In January, 2015, the Press Tour was held at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena, California.Clay attended the Press Tour on January 15th.  He was there to present an excellent show called “Candidate Clay” for the  Esquire Network.  The title of the show was later changed to “The Runner-Up”.

After the Press Tour, the Esquire Network gave a push to the show.  The following press release was sent out on January 21st:

Esquire Network will premiere an exclusive, all-access look at one of the most unique political campaigns of the 2014 mid-term elections – the improbable Congressional run of American Idol star Clay Aiken. Produced by Academy Award-winner Simon Chinn (Man On Wire, Searching for Sugar Man) and Emmy Award-winner Jonathan Chinn (30 Days, American High) through their company Lightbox, the four-hour original documentary series THE RUNNER-UP is set to premiere on Esquire Network in April 2015….

This was just the beginning of a great adventure with The Runner-up.

Ping Pong for Public Education

On February 5th, the following tweet and Facebook mention was posted:

Come join Former Public School Teacher and NC District 2 Congressional Candidate Clay Aiken on Saturday for PING PONG! Thanks Clay for North Carolina for helping support Public Schools First!

On Saturday, February 7th, the organization sponsored Ping Pong for Public Education.  The event was sponsored and hosted by Triangle Table Tennis.  The event was open to players of all levels and all ages.

Clay Aiken wanted to have fun and help raise money for this wonderful organization so he attended the event and helped by playing games and helping with the raffle awards.  He even brought his good friend, Nick Leisey to help out.

On March 16th, Clay appeared on CNN.  He talked about the LGBT boycott of the fashion designers, Dolce & Gabbana.

Clay returned to CNN on March 17th for CNN Tonight.  The topic was still about Dolce and Gabbana:

On March 23rd, Clay appeared on Morning Joe which is on the MSNBC Channel.  He was joined by the producers  of The Runner-Up.

Good Day New York hosted Clay on their show on March 24th.  He was there to promote The Runner-Up.

Clay was busy on March 24th.  Besides the TV show, Clay was part of a media junket.  It involved meeting with many print media representatives.

Clay was certainly busy in the beginning of 2015.  It has been fun to look back and realize that we followed Clay through a very important part of his career.  I am glad we got to watch these steps in the career of Clay Aiken.

I hope you will return tomorrow as we look at the next steps in 2015 for Clay Aiken!
