Cinco de Mayo, May 5, is a holiday celebrated in Mexico and the U.S.
This holiday honors the Mexican army’s win against French forces led by Napoleon III in the Battle of Puebla in Mexico in 1862. But, for many years, the day has been more generally associated with celebrating Mexican national pride, culture and heritage.
Cinco de Mayo is usually the time to head to your favorite Mexican restaurant and order a bundle of food to celebrate the Mexican celebration. But, it’s different this year. Many restaurants will be closed for dine-in, so Americans might have to find a different way to celebrate this year.
Luckily, many food establishments have adjusted to the restrictions around the COVID-19 pandemic. Many restaurants such as Chipotle and On the Border are offering some good discounts and bundles to celebrate the holiday.
So…don’t give up. You can get a good deal from Baja Fresh, Chipotle…even Jack In The Box has a May 5th deal…Oh! we can’t forget Taco Bell too.
Is Clay Aiken celebrating Cinco de Mayo? Clay has said that he is not a big fan of Guacamole or avocados and complained that too much food in California is smothered in the “green stuff.” However, maybe he and his family actually like a taco or two and maybe they like to munch on a plateful of Nachos. In these pictures, Clay is holding some food from Baja Fresh. Who knows….It might be Fiesta Time at the Aiken House!!
Maybe we can celebrate with a great video of Clay singing Without You when he was on The View.
We have many readers from all over the world.
Do any of you celebrate Cinco de Mayo?
Have a great day, and why not toast to Clay with a delicious Margarita !
