Clay Aiken – Enjoying The Conversation

This is a somewhat random post today.  I was looking at some YouTubes and found the one posted here today.  I really had not thought of this show for a long time and I loved watching the interview again.  I hope you enjoy it too.  So, there is no way to tie this into a date or another visit with The Talk.  It is just a fun video.

On July 18, 2011, Clay Aiken was a guest on the show, The Talk.  He was there to promote the TV show, Drop Dead Diva as it was just a few days before Clay’s appearance on the show was being broadcast.

The audience was filled with many Clay fans. They were scattered throughout the studio.

There was a lot of discussion about his family, especially juggling job and parenting.  Clay said that Jaymes spends a lot of time in Raleigh and he spends a lot of time in LA and they have not found it hard. It is a natural thing. Families look different. As long as there is love.
Clay also mentioned that he took a lot of this year off to spend time with Parker. Asked if he wanted more kids, Clay said that it is hard because Parker is so good. He may be an only child.

Clay joked that Parker does not like to hear him sing live, but likes to hear his album in the car. He joked about how it leads to odd times when he gets a call and people hear him listening to his own album.

There was some mention of the Claymates. Clay said they are very respectful and do not show pictures or talk about Parker.

One of the ladies said that Clay looked thinner. He was pleased and said he is working hard to keep the weight off. Sharon Osborne asked: Is it true that you have been thinking about retiring from music and going back to being a teacher? Clay answered that he does not see himself on stage forever, but that he thinks it might be in the distant future. “I don’t think it’s going to be soon.”

It was a great conversation with Clay.  He seemed relaxed while enjoying the conversation with the ladies.

I was lucky enough to be in the audience for this show.  I was behind the cameras so I had to watch the small screen on the camera, but I still enjoyed every moment.  I met some of the nicest Clay fans.  We all just talked and joked as though we had been friends forever.
