Aquariums, Zoos, and Museums to Host Celebrations for World Oceans Day on June 8th
Today, communities around the globe are celebrating World Oceans Day. This is an opportunity to learn more about our ocean and take action to help conserve it. This year the celebration is bigger than ever with hundreds of family-friendly events at aquariums, zoos, museums, exciting online events, and strong prospects for a new youth movement to protect the ocean!
Bill Mott is the director of The Ocean Project. He said:
“A record number of aquariums, zoos, and museums are providing ways on World Oceans Day for their visitors to get inspired and take personal action to help our world’s ocean. World Oceans Day provides an opportunity for people across the country and around the world to celebrate our ocean connections, do more for ocean conservation, and learn more about our ocean!”
I didn’t know about World Oceans Day until I was doing some research on Thursday. This would be a good day to take my grandkids to the zoo. Did you know about this?
One of my college chums sent me the following video. I enjoyed it and hope you will too. How is it related to Clay Aiken??? Well…if I stretch a bit, I could say it has a musical theme and….well I need to use the stairs more to lose some weight before I go to the Champions Gala in October. That’s the best I can do!!
It really is fun to see!!
