It is always a good day when Clay Aiken uses Periscope to let us know what he is doing.
On Tuesday, Clay broadcast a short Periscope from his home in New York City.

It seems that Clay was introducing Periscope to his good friend, Allison Glock. I am sure you remember Allis0n. She and Clay have worked together many times.
Allison was the writer that co-authored Learning To Sing: Hearing the Music in Your Life with Clay.
But Allison has written two other articles about Clay that you might remember. Think back to September, 2003… Elle Magazine featured a three – page article on Clay Aiken. Allison was the writer who gave the readers a look into the “rising star”, Clay Aiken.

Allison also wrote November, 2014 issue of Esquire Magazine, there is a featured article about Clay Aiken and his campaign for the House of Representative in District 2 of North Carolina. The 8 page feature was written by Allison Glock and the photos were by Matthew Salacuse.

It was fun to see Allison visiting Clay in his home in New York City. During the periscope, Clay was introducing Periscope to Allison and explaining what it was and how easy it is to use.
Allison is an amazing lady. According to her biography, Allison has been a successful magazine journalist for 22 years. Her articles have appeared in The New York Times, The New York Times Magazine, Esquire, Rolling Stone, Food & Wine, Elle, O: The Oprah Magazine, Men’s Journal, Marie Claire, GQ, The New Yorker, and many other publications.
Allison is presently a senior staff writer for ESPN and a contributing editor for the southern lifestyle magazine Garden & Gun, as well as a columnist for Southern Living. In 2004 Glock was the recipient of the Whiting Award for her book, Beauty Before Comfort, (Knopf) a memoir of her grandmother’s life in West Virginia.
Glock holds a B.A. from Indiana University, and an M.A. in Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School (Syracuse University).
So…the Periscope from Clay was short and he really didn’t share any news…however, it is always fun to see Clay, relaxed and just sharing a bit of his down time with his followers….Plus….maybe the rumors and BUZZ are true…Clay just might actually be writing a new book! Clay has a lot of information to share!

I not only have Clay's "Learning to Sing" in book form, but also in audio book, with Clay narrating! I hoping Clay and Alison are writing a book together! He has had a amazing history these past years!
I sure hope he's writing a new book and my guess is it'll be about his congressional run last year or maybe what he has been through and experienced for the past 12 years, as a singer, actor and philanthropist. But whatever it's about I'm sure it be will be another bestseller and I will be placing an order as soon as word gets out that it's for real… 🙂

I hope it's about his personal journey of self discovery, shading masks, accepting himself, and exploring the multiple avenues of his life's mission as they are unfolding, including the world of politics. Expect it will be candid, sprinkled with humor and plenty of barbs and snark. Also expect it will leave readers not only entertained, but more compassionate and understanding and more motivated to use their own voices and talents to bring about positive change. If the project is in partnership with Allison Glock, readers won't be able to put it down until they've devoured it. Can't wait to see where it will be promoted in broadcast and print media!
