Clay Aiken – “When Tears Are In Your Eyes”

When you’re weary
Feeling small
When tears are in your eyes
I will dry them all

I’m on your side
When times get rough
And friends just can’t be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

When you’re down and out
When you’re on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you

I’ll take your part
When darkness comes
And pain is all around
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

Thursday was a difficult day for the people of the United States.  This week, two black men were shot down by the police in Minnesota and Louisiana.

On Thursday night, because of the deaths, there were many peaceful demonstrations in many cities throughout the country.  Unfortunately, eleven Dallas law enforcement officers were shot, four fatally, by what is believed to be two snipers who opened fire during the demonstration.

I don’t really know what to say.  It is so sad and the shootings are like a vicious circle.

So…let’s listen to Clay Aiken sing Bridge Over Troubled Water.

It might make us feel a bit better.
