Clay Aiken – A Busy Man

Today is December 31st, the last day of 2019. I thought it would be interesting to take a moment and choose some standout moments for Clay Aiken in 2019.

Looking back on the year and picking only a few events is not easy. Some of you will agree with my picks and some will wonder why I left out one of their special moments.  Hold on to those ideas and please share them with us in the New Year.  As always, your comments are appreciated.

February 25 – Clay’s episode of Drop The Mic was posted on social media by James Corden, one of the producers.

May 16 – Clay was the guest host at the Raleigh – Triangle Rising Stars Award.

May 17 – The Pre-party for the 16th annual Gala was held at Fitzgeralds in Charlotte.  Clay walked through the restaurant to say hello to each person.  He and Diane both gave short speeches at the end.

May 18 – At the Gala, Clay and his band performed “The Lost Concert”, all the music from his album, On My Way Here.  He included the two songs that were part of the fundraising for songs.

June 7 – This day was the Opening of the Pitts-CLO show, Grease — starring, Clay.

October 12 – Clay was a special guest at the United Arts Council’s 30th Anniversary Gala.  He attended with Jaymes.

October 26 – Clay was interviewed  for radio/podcast for iHeart Radio.  Clay announced that he and Ruben would be dropping the duet – O Holy Night for the holiday season.

November 7 – Ruben and Clay’s new recording of “O Holy Night” was found on Amazon and Spotify.

November 23 – Clay was the guest host of the Raleigh Christmas Parade.
