Hello Everyone…I did not post late last night because our server was down. It’s always a puzzle when something like this happens, but fortunately it doesn’t happen often!!
So…just a short post now and then back to the normal schedule.
On Wednesday, October 22nd, Clay Aiken participated in an unusual, but wonderful debate. Carried by Time Warner News, the program is titled, Capital Tonight. Their website says:
The 2nd District includes parts of nine counties, including Wake, Cumberland, Alamance, and Moore counties. According to the US Census, it covers roughly 780,000 North Carolinians.
The leading candidates for the 2nd District congressional seat are Republican incumbent Renee Ellmers, a registered nurse before her election, and Democrat Clay Aiken, an entertainer who is new to politics.
Rep. Ellmers declined to participate, so Clay Aiken joined us in studio.
The stage was setup for the two candidates and the host so Clay sat next to an empty chair. Clay had the entire time to answer questions in detail and was able to articulate the issues that are important to him.
The “debate” is on the webpage for the station. It is excellent and lasts about 30 minutes. You can see it at TIMEWARNER
The following are a few screen caps from the show.
Clay will finish today at a Town Hall Meeting in Spring Lake, North Carolina
Why does it NOT surprise me that Renee was a No show. Clay of course showed how smart articulate he is. I can't believe only 11 days until the election. I hope the voters of District 2 North Carolina see that Clay is the candidate to represent them in DC.
