Clay Aiken – Independence Day Celebrations

It’s Friday and the beginning of one of the biggest holiday celebrations in the United States…the 4th of July!!

The celebration starts today with many fairs around the country…think traditional favorites like carnival rides, a circus, farm animals, and games, as well as a concert and spectacular fireworks.  For others the celebration might be a family/neighborhood BBQ.  Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Potato Salad, Lemonade.  I am already hungry!!

A few tweets have placed Clay Aiken in NC.  There are lots of choices he has for celebrating the day…two suggestions:

The North Carolina Symphony will celebrate at the Town of Cary’s free Independence Day concert that is a salute to the Red, White and Blue. A Triangle tradition, the concert will feature patriotic favorites and high-spirited classics to honor the USA on its birthday.  It will be held at the Koka Booth Amphitheater…yes, Clay knows the site pretty well…

or

Downtown Raleigh will host the city’s Fourth of July fireworks extravaganza. The Independence Day Celebration will include live music, beer/wine tent, kids rides and games, Circus Maximus, street performers, eating contests, food and art vendors, picnic on Fayetteville St. and much more! Fireworks will light up the sky over the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts starting around 9:30pm.

However Clay celebrates, I bet he has a fabulous holiday!

Last year, Clay celebrated the holiday by marching in a few community parades.

Back in 2007, Clay was the featured act at the 4th of July concert outside of Dallas, in Frisco, Texas.  The following video is just a bit of this fun concert.

How are you celebrating the holiday?
