On Wednesday, I stepped back and looked at the last 7 months.  What an amazing time watching Clay Aiken become the Democratic candidate for the 2nd Congressional District in North Carolina.

AND…I am so glad that I have that opportunity!

It has been so much fun watching all the exciting and important things Clay has done this year and WOW…think of the amazing people that he has met and can now be called a friend.

He met with teachers on a bus and even brought donuts for them 2-8-14

He stopped by J.S. Waters school and read to the students at their Read-A-Thon:.. 3-4-14

He served lunch at a senior center on 3-14-14

He chatted with Dr. Blackmon in Harnett County on 3-20-14

He had breakfast with nurses – 3-28-14

He met with the Postal Service – 3-29-14

He talked with members of UFCW Local Union 1208.. 4-3-14

And finally, he got to vote for himself in the primary election – 5-6-14

I hope that Clay remembers each moment and will look back at this time as an exciting time in his life!

Someday, we will go over some of the fun things Clay has done after the primary election.

What happens today and tomorrow?  Well lets wait and see.  You know that whatever it is, Clay will make it a wonderful experience!
