Clay Aiken – A Moment of Remembrance!

In the United States, Memorial Day is on the last Monday
in May and honors Americans who gave their lives

for their country in wars.

Memorial Day National Moment of Remembrance at 3PM.
“On Monday May 28th, 2012, pause at 3:00pm local time for a minute of
respectful silence for those who have died in the service of our
nation.  Simply pause for the Moment – It can be a simple gesture, such as placing your hand over your heart, bowing your head, or offering a prayer, and promising to live a good life in honor of those who gave their lives for our freedom. It puts your remembrance into action.”

The first nationwide Memorial Day Parade was held on May 30, 1868 by a group of Civil war Union Army Vets. Why they chose May 30, no one knows.

Although this holiday is celebrated with barbeques, trips to the beach, and other recreation, it is important to remember the history of the day and the men and women who have given their lives for our great country.

What are your plans for this Memorial Day? Are you going to a parade or are you staying at home? Maybe you are cleaning up the grill for an old fashioned Memorial Day Picnic.

Whatever your plans may be, have a safe and memorable Day. And don’t forget to support Clay Aiken in whatever way you can. He’s a pretty remarkable young man and today is a good time to show him and the music world that he is loved.
