Clay Aiken – A Battle ’til The End

“The Battle of the Gingers Part Two” – “Winning by a Nose”

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am glad that this episode is over.  I know that editing can change the entire story, however, I am still trying to understand how Clay Aiken’s team lost.  Maybe we will see more by reading the reviews that have already been posted.

Please remember, I am only posting a few comments from the linked articles.  These comments will be about Clay or an important comment.  May I also remind you that the sites love comments?  It’s one of the ways we can show appreciation to the author and site for their article.  OK…”Let’s Get Ready To Rumble!”

Entertainment Weekly – EW.com – The Sweet Smell of Success

By Dalton Ross

… Frankly, I am stunned that I made it 400 words into this recap without mentioning Clay Aiken’s testicles. Not that I make it a habit of discussing such things at length, but if someone on this show is going to start comparing the size of his testicles to the size of someone else’s testicles, well, then how can I not discuss it? The “someone else’s” testicles in question were none other than Penn Jillette’s. When Trump announced to the teams that they would be creating a store display and slogan for The Donald’s new fragrance, Success, Penn said he didn’t want to be Project Manager because he knew not of such things (of course, that didn’t stop him from relentlessly suggesting how to do every single element of the task). So Clay took it on instead. Clay wisely brought this up in the Boardroom, telling Trump, “It’s surprising to think that I’m the one that has the bigger balls of the two of us.” Personally, I am a bit surprised they didn’t have a “Boardroom Ball-Off” right then and there to settle the dispute. For what it’s worth, my “biggest balls” money would have been on George Ross.

… Besides, Clay wants nothing to do with Dayana’s boobs. He’s too busy obsessing over the hot male model. “Once the model showed up, we put him in a shirt and tie and tried to do him,” Clay informed us. That’s right: do him. This was after he pawed at the model’s collar, yet before he unnecessarily straightened his tie, admitting that he “just wanted to touch you.”

… So after Clay’s team lost, Penn was fired for coming up with the “You Earned it” slogan.

N.J.com – recap- The Scent of Failure

By Vicki Hyman/The Star-Ledger

… Clay and Penn are up for project manager, but Penn defers to Clay.

… Trump asks Clay why he didn’t listen to Dayana’s suggestion for a fragrance pamphlet.  Clay says that sometimes he just doesn’t understand Dayana.  Clay decides to give Lisa a pass and brings Penn and Dayana back into the boardroom.

… Clay defends his decision to bring back Dayana because of her overall performance, not because of this particular task.

Hollywood Life – Penn and Dayana Gang Up Against Clay

By Andy Swift

… This left Clay Aiken‘s team behind, and oh boy, did things get awkward. While the team tried to unite under the almighty c-word — I’m of course talking about “consensus” — it didn’t take long for a mini fight to ensue between Clay and Dayana Mendoza. Apparently she had pitched quite a few good ideas during the task, but Clay admitted he “didn’t understand” what she was saying. He followed that up by calling her “aloof.”

… He’s a scrappy one, that Clay.

Buddy TV – Selling Success by Trump

Esther Gim

… On the other team, Penn is very assertive in what he thinks their vision should be. It’s funny he’s so vocal since he practically made Clay be the project manager because this was what he knows and what he’s good at.

… in the end, it’s all about what the execs want for their product, but here’s my own two cents. Aubrey’s entire display is black and gray with some purple silhouette — hardly anything that sticks out. In fact, it’s depressing. Clay’s, meanwhile, has that giant, beautiful picture — complete with the male model wearing a red tie — that from 50 feet away you can see and want to come closer to look at it.

… I’m glad Clay brought up the fact that he only took the task because Penn wanted him to. Because even after turning the task over to Clay, Penn took control of everything — essentially, he acted as the project manager.

… I think the fact that Clay’s been able to balance both leading and also getting everyone’s feedback is what makes him so likable…

A.V.Club – Winning By A Nose

By Margaret Eby

… On The Celebrity Apprentice, we’re invited to ponder the big questions. How do you lead a team of ego-driven television performers? Who’s more responsible when a project fails, the person who had a bad idea or the person who approved that bad idea? What is Aubrey O’Day’s hair made of? And, on this week’s installment, what does Donald Trump smell like?

… Though Penn isn’t showboating, he’s not particularly modest, either. “I’m smart; I do things right,” he insists. Clay goes with Penn’s vision of a display that features Dayana nestled into the chest of an anonymous tie-wearing businessman, complete with the slogan, “You earned it.” Clay moves forward with the concept, but he’s a bit jittery about the whole thing.

… Clay excuses Lisa from the boardroom, which leaves him with Penn and Dayana, there for the sixth time this season. I understand his dilemma. Penn legitimately was responsible for the part of the display that lost them the game, and Lisa didn’t do anything wrong. He brought in Dayana because she’s the least productive group member, even though she contributed greatly to this challenge.

ACE SHOWBIZ – Penn Jillette Gets Fired for Weak Slogan

… Aubrey O’Day was chosen as the project manager for team Unanimous, while Clay Aiken was team Forte’s project manager. It was the second time they went head to head as opposing team leaders.

… Mr. Trump asked Clay whom he would bring back to the Boardroom, and the singer saved Lisa Lampanelli.

REALITY WANTED – Episode 10 recap

by Todd Betzold

… Team Forte meets and Penn comes up with an idea for the task, which Clay questions on why he didn’t step up and be project manager.

… Penn comes up with “You Earned It” and they seem to like it, but Clay is hesitant to use the first idea they come up with. Penn then comes up with an idea for the display and Clay thinks he just comes up with the idea and then drills it home until they use it.

… Time for the boardroom: Clay said they were all very good and Lisa said that Clay is one of the best project managers that she has worked for and that Dayana was phenomenal.

… I think Clay is going to win it all…him or Lisa (and that may be the battle in the finale…what do you all think)?

Always Trust Your End Stinks

By Clay Aiken

… Before you jump on me… It is a game. I lost my last one. I have no desire to lose this one too!

No more…you need to read every word that Clay wrote.  I think this task was a difficult one for Clay and I have the feeling he is glad it is over.

You can read Clay’s Blog at CLAYSBLOG

There are at least 15 more articles out there already, but this should start out your day with some reading.  To me, the reviews I listed had more Clay info than the others…that is why I picked them.

I will post some more Monday around noon.  Hopefully, we will get some more great Clay Aiken mentions.

What did you think of Sunday’s Celebrity Apprentice?  Did the right person go home?

Clay Aiken – Drama, Tears, Laughs and Talent

By musicfan123 · Comments 15702(11)http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F2012%2F04%2F16%2Fclay-aiken-drama-tears-laughs-and-talent%2FClay+Aiken+-+Drama%2C+Tears%2C+Laughs+and+Talent2012-04-16+08%3A54%3A45musicfan123http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F%3Fp%3D15702

It is Sunday night and millions of people just finished watching Episode 9 of Celebrity Apprentice.  The show, titled Puppet-Up was filled with tears and drama and laughs and great talent.

To most of the reviewers, the true star of the evening was Clay Aiken.  For those who only know Clay as a singer, they were surprised and pleased that Clay is intelligent, able to speak in many accents, funny and quick with “off-the-cuff” remarks…perfect for a night of Improv.

It is late, but I do want to post some reviews that I found on the Internet within hours of the broadcast of the show.  I am not taking the time to make it “pretty”, just making sure you have the links to these sites.  The quotes that I list are only parts of the articles and will only be about Clay.

Clay’s Celebrity Apprentice Blog

I am so glad that Clay writes some back-stage information in his blogs.  He has a way with words and it is always fun to read what he has to say about the show.

E-Online -     Celebrity Apprentice Recap: Which Celeb Wocka-Walked Away From the Boardroom Empty Handed? by NATALIE ZURAWIN

… Right before the show began, Lisa blew up at Dayana, who finally broke down and cried. She explained that she tries to treat Lisa better than Lisa treats her, and couldn’t take it anymore. Meanwhile Lisa cried too. Clay Aiken suggested that Lisa is constantly intimidated by Dayana’s beauty.

…As we know, the show must go on, and Team Forte seemed to pull all the right strings. Lisa and Clay performed with their puppets, and the audience went wild. Clay practically stole the show.

NJ.com   By Vicki Hyman/The Star-Ledger

…At the start of the episode, Lisa and Dayana Mendoza return from the boardroom sans Lou Ferrigno, and Lisa is crowing about it, which Clay Aiken finds obnoxious. Lisa then threatens to direct her yapper at Clay, so he shuts up. Aubrey O’Day says she hopes Trump splits up Clay and Arsenio Hall. Indeed, Clay moves over to Lisa’s team.

…Clay says that if he were Lisa, he would have given Dayana more to do.

…In the dressing room before the show, Clay suggests that Dayana should stand to the side and help people get their puppets on and off, just so she looks like she has something to do.

…Lisa sobs. “Is it all my responsibility to handle her every (bleeping) task? And no one here can step in, ever?” Um, isn’t that what Clay was doing? Giving Dayana a task?

…We only see bits and pieces of the show, but Clay and Lisa seem to do well. Lisa nitpicks that Penn didn’t signal the end of a particular scene soon enough, but it was a professional show — as it should be, with two professional comedians in charge.

…The judges thought Penn, Lisa and Clay did a great job, and that Dayana’s puppets were well done, but they dinged Penn for missing a couple of cues and felt one of the skits was a little too blue.

Hollywood Life  by Andy Swift

…Right away, Lisa clashed with her nemesis, Dayana Mendoza.  Lisa figured that with years of experience under their belts, she should take the stage with Penn Jillette and Clay Aiken, placing Dayana behind the scenes.  Of course, the former Miss Universe had hoped to be front of the audience, so she copped a little ‘tude that carried into the boardroom.  And that’s when things really got weird.

Buddy TV - The Celebrity Apprentice’ Recap: Stuffed and Unstrung

Esther Gim
Contributing Writer

…This week on Celebrity Apprentice, with the team of Lisa, Penn and Dayana (Forte) down to three, Clay is moved over to join them for the latest task…create, design, and execute a puppet/improv show.  Lisa volunteers as project manager for FOrte…she says she’s the only one who hasn’t won a task…while Paul bites the bullet for Forte, albeit very reluctantly.

…Clay thries to cool down the fire but doesn’t really try, which later Lisa gets pissed off about.  If Lisa has something against you, there’s no middle ground.

… I’m so impressed with Clay’s improv skills.  He even changes his voice at one point, and I didn’t even realize it was him!  He and Lisa have a lot of chemistry on stage.

EW.Com – The Celebrity Apprentice’ recap:  The Puppet Masters

Dalton Ross ( Always a fun read – don’t skip this one)  EWCOM

…When we last left Lisa and Dayana, they had kissed and made up after Dayana proved herself to be a competent Project Manager. And when things first started this week it appeared a Lisa-Clay feud could be brewing instead. “We did it. Good riddance,” Lisa bragged after returning from Lou’s firing. “We did it?” Clay responded. “You act like you had some accomplishment of some kind… He’s still a person.”

When Trump then moved Clay over to team Forte to even out the numbers, one had to expect trouble, but instead of Clay, it was Dayana that once again placed herself right in Lisa’s line of fire

…Clay chalked Lisa’s anger up to possibly being jealous over Dayana being “beautiful, screw beautiful — stunning.

…Hot damn, Ivanka looked crazy hot in the Boardroom this week in her red dress and flowing locks. Her beauty even enraged the normally mellow and normally homosexual Clay Aiken. I really have nothing to add to that but thought it would be nice to go on out that image of Ivanka to carry me through the week until we meet once again in the Boardroom under the watchful and somewhat befuddled gaze of Donald Trump.

A.V. Club  By Margaret Eby

… Trump walks into FAO Schwarz like he’s about to condemn the place, and announces to both teams that Clay will be migrating over to Forte. Arsenio and Clay had begun to form a Lisa and Aubrey-like alliance, minus thebitching about Dayana, so Trump’s move was clearly to shake them out of their clique. It’s certainly not as serious a move as switching Aubrey to Unanimous, though. Clay’s nature is far more conciliatory, and he manages to work in well to the unhappy little family that Lisa, Dayana, and Penn created.

…Clay learned some puppetry at church long ago, but it serves him well. His southern lady voice kept pace with Lisa’s wisecracks laudably. Penn does the ringleader thing well, but doesn’t quite cut the skits at the right time. Still, it’s no surprise when Trump announces that Forte wins, much to the relief of Lisa…

The following is the link:  AVCLUB

Reality TV Magazine  by Shayla Perry

…To Aubrey’s delight, Clay Aiken will be moving to Team Forte, where Lisa’s going to serve as Project Manager; kind of an obvious choice considering the task

…Both Dayana and Lisa are in tears, but by the time they hit the stage(well, Lisa, anyway) everyone is all smiles and Penn gets the show off to a great start, followed by an almost flawless performance from Lisa and Clay.  And Dayana did a really good job of um-watching.

Clay Aiken – So Much Besides Taxes!

By musicfan123 · Comments 15691(11)http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F2012%2F04%2F15%2Fclay-aiken-so-much-besides-taxes%2FClay+Aiken+-+So+Much+Besides+Taxes%212012-04-15+07%3A53%3A34musicfan123http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F%3Fp%3D15691
Sunday, April 15th, 2012

It is April 15th – Most of us look at this date and think taxes! But…this year taxes are due on Tuesday, April 17.  The extra break was granted because April 15 is a Sunday this year, and Monday is Emancipation Day, a holiday in Washington D.C. that celebrates the freeing of slaves in the district.

BUT…instead of taxes, I would rather think about some of the fun things that Clay Aiken did on April 15th.

April 15, 2003 -  American Idol presented the Top 7 performers on Billy Joel Night.  Each singer was required to sing a song made famous by Billy Joel.

Clay Aiken was the last performer on this night and the judges remarks from this performance have been quoted many times.  Most Clay fans will remember “I just can’t wait till you let loose and dance a little more!”  Then Clay’s answer… baby-steps!!

Then, who could forget Simon’s   “I prefer you when I shut my eyes.”

Tell Her About It was a wonderful choice for Clay to make.  Starting out as a ballad and then, WOW, he changed it to up-tempo.  It was the night that Clay changed his whole style and delivery.  He never missed a step.  When was the last time you watch Clay sing this on American Idol?  Enjoy!!

April 15, 2004 – Clay was in Kansas City, MO.  Clay and Diane Bubel were at part of Hallmark’s Kaleidoscope.  Clay and Diane participated in a private art session.  The program integrated children with special needs with their typical peers.  They paired up to produce art projects that were based on the theme,  How Art Defines Me.  From the pictures, it looks like Clay had as much fun as the kids!

April 15, 2004 – After a day of working with the kids on their art projects, Clay performed at the Kember Arena as part of the Independent Tour.  This performance was special because it was almost the end of the successful tour for Clay and Kelly Clarkson.  This performance produced some fun pictures.

April 15, 2005 – This was National Youth Service Day.  Clay was in Hollywood, Florida and he joined a group of Best Buddies  kids to plant trees in the area.

National Youth Service Day is a public awareness and education campaign that highlights the amazing contributions that young people make to their communities 365 days a year. As the largest service event in the world, it mobilizes millions of young people to address the needs of their communities, and educates the public, the media, and policymakers about the year-round contributions of young people as community leaders.

April 15, 2012 –  Clay Aiken will be seen on NBC as a contestant on the popular show, Celebrity Apprentice.  The show tonight is episode 9 and is titled Puppets Up.  The show should be filled with lots of fun, laughs, tears, and drama.  This show is NEVER boring!

Don’t forget to check in on Monday.  The reviews, articles and pictures of Celebrity Apprentice will be posted throughout the day as they become available.

Clay Aiken Learns The Art of Puppetry

By musicfan123 · Comments 15666(12)http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F2012%2F04%2F13%2Fclay-aiken-learns-the-art-of-puppetry%2FClay+Aiken+Learns+The+Art+of+Puppetry2012-04-13+08%3A19%3A35musicfan123http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F%3Fp%3D15666

For people who are fans of Clay Aiken, the end of the week means more previews of the upcoming episode of Celebrity Apprentice.  The NBC/Celebrity Apprentice Internet site provides many videos, articles and pictures about each unique episode.

Episode 9 will be broadcast on Sunday, April 15th at 9:00pm.  Titled Puppet – Up, the show will feature the exciting puppet troupe from the Jim Henson Company. Their show is now called Stuffed and Unstrung – Henson Alternative.  The celebrities will create original puppets and perform with them at a live performance.  Now, that sounds like fun!

I was interested in finding out more about Stuffed and Unstrung and I though I would share some information with you.

Puppet Up is a show that was started to demonstrate what happens when you combine traditional improvisation with the art of puppetry. The group debuted in 2006 and was called Jim Henson’s Puppet Improv. It is now called Stuffed and Unstrung.

According to Muppet Wiki:

Award-winning director and producer Brian Henson created the show with improvisational guru Patrick Bristow, who hosts it. It features a cast of six puppeteers who engage in improv games with input from the audience. The puppet action is projected on large screens flanking the stage while the puppeteers display their talents below, all in full view of the audience.

The show, which is accompanied with music, is unpredictable and irreverent. It’s never the same show twice because it’s built from storylines that start with prompts from the audience.

Brian Henson is chairman of the Jim Henson Company and the Henson Alternative is the company’s label for content created specifically and exclusively for adult audiences.

From what I have read, Stuffed & Unstrung honors Jim Henson’s achievement and if you like to laugh you will enjoy the show.  For more information, visit their Internet site.  Click on STUFFED

In his chat Wednesday night, Clay Aiken said that this episode was his favorite of the entire season.  I can’t wait to see Clay working with the puppets.  I bet he will be very entertaining.

The wonderful Cotton from CV provided the screen-caps from the video preview.  Thank you!

Clay Aiken – Articulate, Creative, Funny, Diplomatic!

By musicfan123 · Comments 15607(10)http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F2012%2F04%2F09%2Fclay-aiken-articulate-creative-funny-diplomatic%2FClay+Aiken+-+Articulate%2C+Creative%2C+Funny%2C+Diplomatic%212012-04-09+08%3A37%3A46musicfan123http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F%3Fp%3D15607
Monday, April 9th, 2012

I just finished watching episode 8 (task 9) of Season 12 of Celebrity Apprentice.  I learned that Clay Aiken is:

  • articulate
  • calm
  • creative
  • diplomatic
  • funny
  • hard-working
  • honest
  • sensible
  • upbeat

And…if Clay is forced to criticize, he does it with honesty and tact.  Is there anyone else on the show that shows all these assets?  I sure don’t see them!

Within hours of the end of the show, many of the Internet sites have already posted reviews of the new episode.

One of my favorites is from Dalton Ross.  Ross writes for Entertainment Weekly.com and has written a great review each week.  Always a bit tongue-in-cheek, he isn’t afraid to say what he sees.  He writes the following about Clay and Celebrity Apprentice:

… I am about to lay on you the greatest quote in Celebrity Apprentice history…Miss Aubrey O’Day.

“Teresa thinks that everybody is great friends and that they all love her, but the second that we lose, Clay and Arsenio will start the gang-bang on her and she’ll get to see what I went through the other night.”

Ummm…no, wait, I need a minute to digest that. Okay…nope, still not ready. Thought I was, but I wasn’t. Give me another minute. [Deep breath] So, let’s focus on the last part of that sentence, shall we? “Clay and Arsenio will start the gang-bang on her and she’ll get to see what I went through the other night.”

START THE GANG-BANG ON HER?!? Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, did Lisa Lampanelli just take a side-job as network censor? How the hell does that make it past the standards and practices department and onto network television? Again, “Clay and Arsenio will start the gang-bang on her.” Does Teresa’s husband Joe know that Clay and Arsenio are about to start the gang-bang on her? Is he cool with that? Is he part of it? And is that really what Aubrey “went through the other night?” If so, how did that not make the show? So many questions!

…Honestly, I didn’t get the reason for coloring Paul’s facial and head hair a reddish auburn hue, and then it hit me. Paul must be a Claymate!!! He wants to be Aiken! People always want to pigeonhole Clay’s fans as being of the female variety, but who’s to say Paul Teutul Sr. doesn’t blare a little “Bridge Over Troubled Water” in the shop while working on his big hogs. Clay Aiken jumps all genres, bounds over all borders. His voice is infectious, his charisma irresistible. Who can blame Paul for falling under Clay’s spell? He was not the first. Nor will he be the last. Of course, Paul has his street cred to maintain, so he claims he is more Clark Griswald than Clay Aiken in his new get-up, but unless he has a Family Truckster parked outside, I remain dubious.

Be sure and visit Dalton’s article.  It is a fun read and it is worth the read!  You can read the article at EW.COM

CLIQUECLACK is a blog that write a bout many TV shows.  They have been following Celebrity Apprentice this season.  Tara Shrodes wrote an interesting article and review.  Here are a few things she has to say:

The Celebrity Apprentice is causing Lisa Lampanelli to lose it

…Holy Moses. This week’s edition of The Celebrity Apprentice taught me a couple of things. First of all? I agree with Lou Ferrigno. I’m glad that Lisa Lampanelli isn’t my wife too. She’s abrasive, mean, irritating, selfish and just- foul. We’ve seen in past weeks her fascination with jealousy in hating Dayana (where she completely changed her tune this time around.) Now she honed in her radar on getting Lou fired.

…I’m soooo weary of people like this.  As an example? Look at her polar opposite in Clay Aiken. Dude’s calm cool and collected. He refuses to be led into dark places by Trump. He has fun during the tasks. He picks his battles. Yes. He’s gotten frustrated on occasion with Penn. But rightly so. He talks it out with the person and moves forward, doing what he needs to do.

Be sure and read this interesting article and why not leave a comment.  All writers love hearing from their readers.  You can click on CLIQUE to read the entire article.

NJ.com posted a review of yesterdays episode of Celebrity Apprentice.  Written by  Vicki Hyman/The Star-Ledger  ,  the article has very little about Clay Aiken, but you can tell that Hyman is not a fan of Aubrey.  You can read this article at NJCOM

Clay’s newest blog is up at the NBC/Celebrity Apprentice Internet site.  As always, Clay is articulate and gives us a look into what really happened during the task.  Clay says:

If there was a theme to this episode, it might have been HYPOCRISY!

After watching the show, I certainly understand what he means.  People need to play the game, but they also need to be truthful and stop going behind peoples backs and being nasty!  I hope you will all visit Clay’s blog and please leave a comment.  I am sure this site is highly monitored for internet hits and comments!  You can read Clay’s blog at CLAYWORDS

Clay Aiken – Seven Billion Pounds Of Candy!

Happy Easter to

To All Our Readers!

I hope your day is filled with

Love,

Laughs, Family,

and Friends!

The following are some fun facts about Easter!

  • Americans eat more candy at Easter than at any other holiday besides Halloween. An average of seven billion pounds of candy is consumed over Easter weekend. Sales of Easter candy top nearly $2 billion; in contrast, just over $1 billion of candy is sold for Valentine’s Day.
  • The most popular Easter confection is Marshmallow Peeps. More than 700 million of these chick, bunny and egg-shaped marshmallows are purchased every year. A meager 90 million chocolate bunnies are consumed. At peak production, over four million Marshmallow Peeps can be made each day.
  • Eating Easter candy is a relatively modern tradition. The first chocolate eggs, for example, were made in Europe in the 1800s. And Marshmallow Peeps, produced by the Russian-born U.S. confectioner Sam Born, didn’t get their start until the 1950s in the United States.
  • The most popular treat to hide inside an Easter egg is jellybeans. Americans consume more than 16 billion of them at Easter — enough to circle the circumference of the globe three times!
  • Over one billion Easter eggs are hunted every year in America. The most popular (or at least the most televised) Easter egg hunt is the one held at the White House. President Hayes hosted the first White House egg hunt in 1878, launching a tradition that has continued to this day.
  • When taking a bite into a chocolate bunny, 76% of Americans prefer to bite off the ears first. 5% eat the feet first and 4% eat the tail first.

A special

Happy Easter

to

Clay Aiken!

Enjoy Your Day!

After relaxing with family and friends, be sure and tune in to NBC to see the new episode of Celebrity Apprentice.  From the previews this past week, it looks like this will be a fun show.  I hope Clay will share the show with his fans.  His tweets add so much to the entire evening!

Don’t forget to check in at CANN on Monday morning for  breaking news about Clay and his appearance on Celebrity Apprentice.

Clay Aiken – A Stack of News!

By musicfan123 · Comments 15555(13)http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F2012%2F04%2F04%2Fclay-aiken-a-stack-of-news%2FClay+Aiken+-+A+Stack+of+News%212012-04-04+07%3A48%3A12musicfan123http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F%3Fp%3D15555

Tuesday brought a stack of news about Celebrity Apprentice and Clay Aiken.  It is always amazing to me that there are so many different reviews and, although most give the same opinions, there are those who seem to have watched something entirely different that what I saw.

The following are some of the interesting sites that discuss Clay and his participation on Celebrity Apprentice

One of my favorite reviews is at a site titled, TV Gasm.  Each week, they report on the new episode of the show. So far, they have only reviewed one task form last week, but have promised to post about the second half of the show soon.  The review  is always a bit tongue-in-cheek and filled with both words and pictures.  They had the following to say about Clay:

…Clay goes to visit the National Inclusion Project, which allows disabled children to participate in things like summer camp and helps them feel like they fit in. Finally a feel good and happy delivery of the winnings on this show!  Clay says this has only fueled his fire to be the one to win the whole thing an bring back another $250,000 to his charity.

…Back at the men’s team, guess who shows up… Michael Andretti! How’s that for an awesome dude? Even though he was fired before he ever had a chance to earn any money for his own charity, he is here today to donate twenty thousand dollars. When he asks Clay how many books he can get for that, the miserly Clay tells him “just one.” LOL – I’m loving Clay more and more.

…Clay is upset at the mob mentality that happened. He says people were grabbing cash out of his hand and Arsenio saw a women stuffing money down her pants. Clay wonders if they even got half of what Blue Man Group gave them. It did look like it could have turned into a pretty ugly mob scene. I’m sad to hear that people didn’t scramble to gather the money to keep it safe and return it to Unanimous.

…Clay’s feathers are really ruffled. Dee tries to console him but Clay is too upset to talk about it. At least Clay is focusing his ire in the right place and is angry with Penn for inviting a circus idea that negatively affected other people. It would appear there will still be no love between these two brilliant minds.

…I’m loving Clay Aiken more and more. As he signs his autograph on their book, he tells a customer he knows using a pink marker is redundant. Hah!

TVBlend writes a review each week about Celebrity Apprentice.  They always post a Power Ranking of the celebrities.  When the show started, this site rated Clay very low on their chart.  However, this week, Clay is rated #1.  The following is what they say about Clay:

#1) Clay Aiken (33): Clay’s ascent to the top of the rankings has been gradual, but with everyone having completed a turn as project manager, he deserves to be considered among the best. Apart from the one week in which he freaked out on Penn, Clay has remained cool, composed and strategic. Notice in the boardroom how differently he chose to express his resentment of Aubrey than Arsenio who created untold amounts of friction and lost his composure? That steadiness should carry Clay to the finals if he can avoid any major screw-ups.

Be sure and visit this site and see who they rate as #2.  You might be surprised.  You can visit the site at TVBLEND

Entertainment.com is rumored to be the sponsors of the next task on Celebrity Apprentice.  On Tuesday, they tweeted this picture and message.  @Teresa_Giudice @clayaiken @ArsenioOFFICIAL Can’t wait to see you Sunday night on #CelebApprentice. Fun, isn’t it?

TVLatest is another site that reviews Celebrity Apprentice.  Their review is long and they do go into great detail.  They mention Clay often in the article and seem to like him. The following is one of the mentions:

Dee doesn’t care about the quality of his team’s book: it’s a fundraiser so just focus on the money. Penn suggests the team go up to the roof of Trump Tower and take pictures from there. Clay voices his concern that all the photos will look the same, but Dee decides to go with Penn’s idea. “I don’t know if it’s his entire head,” Clay muses in an interview, “but at least Dee’s forehead is up Penn’s ass.” I am so sorry I voted for Ruben Studdard. The team heads to the roof and they do have an impressive view of Manhattan. The plan is for each guy to pose for a picture with a different NYC neighborhood/area in the background. Paul Teutul’s picture is the last to be taken and he ends up with the East Side. In other words, take everything you know about Paul and make it the opposite.

You can read the entire article at TVLATEST

There are many other article available online, but these are at the top of my list.  I am also enjoying the following picture that was posted on the NBC/Celebrity Apprentice Site…I know the words at the bottom are for another show, but I like the title “Best Friends Forever.”

What was your favorite moment on Sunday’s show?

Clay Aiken – Surviving The Emotional Rollercoaster!

By musicfan123 · Comments 15516(11)http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F2012%2F04%2F02%2Fclay-aiken-surviving-the-emotional-rollercoaster%2FClay+Aiken+-+Surviving+The+Emotional+Rollercoaster%212012-04-02+08%3A04%3A14musicfan123http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F%3Fp%3D15516

Oh My!!  Where do I begin?  This episode of Celebrity Apprentice was full of love, ego, distrust, friendship and honor.  It takes a certain kind of person to survive this emotional roller coaster!!

I am so glad that some of the Internet sites have already posted information, articles, and reviews about the Sunday evening show.  I hope that many more will show up today!!  It’s after 1:00AM , so, hopefully this blog will make sense!  Here are a few of the articles that are on-line.

From CB

That’s why it was so hilarious to see this elaborate sidewalk show go absolutely haywire when the balloon popped, releasing $8,000 and igniting a mad rush of curious onlookers to fill their pockets, bras, and — according to Clay Aiken — butt cracks with cash. It seems Mr. Aiken was also achin’ after getting into some minor scuffles while protecting the cash. Why so fancy with the cash delivery, Blue Man Group? Just hand them the envelope! Make it a blue envelope! Take back the color blue from those pesky upstart Smurfs! I don’t care. But hand them a damn envelope!

“It was a disaster,” Clay fumed later in the Boardroom. “It was a horrible idea.” Clay then continued to express his outrage by continuing the fuzzy math theme of the week by somehow insisting that he knew the team only recovered $2,000 of the $8,000 BMG money.

Please take a minute and read the entire blog.  It is fun.  You can see it at EW.COM

Be sure and read Clay’s Blog for Celebrity Apprentice.  He tells it like it is.  He started the blog by reporting about his visit to a very special camp:

This episode started off wonderfully for me. As a result of winning as project manager during last week’s task, I was able to present a lot of money to my charity, National Inclusion Project. We traveled to a camp in upstate New York and got a chance to play some parachute games with some kids, and it was a nice respite from the craziness of Manhattan for a bit. PLEASE take a look at www.inclusionproject.org and find out more about how the organization is able to make sure kids with disabilities don’t get left out!

I would imagine that Clay is happy that he could bring this money to the National Inclusion Project.  I always enjoy seeing Clay with kids.  It makes me smile!  You can see the entire blog at CLAY’SBLOG

Hollywood Life has their review of the show up already.  Silly people, they didn’t even mention Clay…but I did enjoy what they said about Aubrey:

…The two unofficial project managers, Aubrey and Penn, caused a few bumps in the road. Aubrey and Arsenio butted heads, especially when she referenced Arsenio “walking away” from his career. Ouch! “I’m sick of her,” Arsenio blurted out.

…Even before the winning team was announced, Arsenio made it pretty clear how he felt about Aubrey. And then came the tears… again! (Surprise, surprise.) But surprisingly, their team won! Curiously, Aubrey left without going into the boardroom.

You can read the entire article at HOLLYWOODLIFE

ZAP 2 it…what is wrong?  Why don’t you mention Clay Aiken in your article.  How come you didn’t even mention him visiting an Inclusive Camp and presenting a check for $50,000?  That is certainly newsworthy.  However, this site writes an article each week so I look forward to what they write next week.  The following is what they said about the end of the broadcast:

The most shocking turn of events came after Arsenio Hall’s win as project manager for Team Unanimous when the rest of the team went back to the war room, while Aubrey O’Day headed for the elevator with her accompanying voiceover, “I don’t want to be around all the negativity anymore … the environment is so ugly. I just don’t know if this is the right place for me.”

You can visit this site and read the short review at ZAP2it

Recappers Delight is a blog that is very PRO to Clay Aiken.  It is really fun to read.  There are many mentions of Clay and what he did on the Celebrity Booklet task.  The author says:

…Fortunately, Clay Aiken is now a major mover and shaker.  Nobody is gonna ever put baby in a corner again, so I think I can safely do play by play snark.   There is a lot of garbage here that needs to be snarked.

…Now, here’s the good stuff.  Claymates, soak in every glorious minute of it.  He won.  The sun is shining, the birds are feeding, and the kids are playing with an enormous rainbow parachute as Clay Aiken, winning Project Manager, comes forward to deliver his good news.  He’s got a big hug for Christy White as he begins to play with the parachute as well.  He’s been playing for the National Inclusion Project, his own charity (which I personally have been following since its inception) and the goal is to enable kids with disabilities to be integrated with normally abled kids in certain activities, like summer camp.

My oldest son has Asperger’s Syndrome.  He’s fighting for MY KID, and others like him.  Damn right, I am proud of him. You can click on RECAPPERSDELIGHT

Be sure and visit this site and why not leave a comment.  We want this writer to know we appreciate what they say about Clay and his job at Celebrity Apprentice.

I love Arsenio…he tweeted some great pictures.  I love them!

Do you think Trump fired the right people? Do you think Aubrey will return?  Are you headed to Walgreens tomorrow to get a kit with Clay’s picture?  I am !

When you read this, I will probably be on a plane on my way to Portland, Oregon for a visit to Corvallis.  I will continue to monitor the blog and hopefully, when I arrive in Corvallis, I will have a lot of comments to approve!!

Quote of the Day

It is not always about performance art, but about receiving positive energy from people with positive spirits. Sometimes we can see someone's spirit, and those are the people with great energy. Those are the people that get me through the day, especially on Broadway. -Clay Aiken
