People Magazine Loves Clay Aiken

People Magazine has supported Clay Aiken since his time on American Idol. He has been on the cover, had full page articles and mentions in the weekly sections.

On April 6, 2007, People had a special issue come out about American Idol contestants.  It was called “American Idol – Where Are They Now.”  Clay was a part of the cover and there were 4 full pages of information and pictures of Clay.  Besides the multi-page article, there were 5 more mentions of Clay in this issue.

It is fun to see the pictures from this special edition and to see what People thought was important in the career of Clay Aiken.

Clay Aiken is Everywhere

Clay Aiken certainly impressed many people Saturday night when he attended the GLAAD Media Awards celebration in New York.  From his business – like approach to all the press at the Red Carpet, to his outstanding and heartfelt introduction of Tyra, Clay was a true professional.

From all the web site and blog mentions about Clay’s appearance Saturday night, Clay was a big hit.

To make it easier to see all the wonderful mentions of Clay, we thought it would be good to list then here with the link.  Hopefully, this will help you see all the great Clay press.

People just came out with another special magazine.  This time, it is called  Celebrity Transformations.

Clay Aiken is one of the featured stars in this  issue and has a two page spread.  It really is amazing to see the different looks of Clay.  It is also nice to see such positive press from People Magazine.  Here are scans of page 78 and page 79.

February 20, 2009……….    It started with a bit of apprehension.  The wanna-be reporters were leaking a story that Clay Aiken had been dumped by RCA. Any official sources were conspicuously missing; there were only pages and pages of Google headlines that all said the same thing.  Next, there was a visit from Clay on his Fan Club board.  Nothing official, just a short question, asking for some information….ah…..a hint!!  In one quick question, Clay let us know that his fans knew more than Google and that the word Independent was important!!  Then, the moment that many were waiting for, an official announcement that Clay Aiken chose to move on.  That’s when the party started.  It was almost a Perfect Day!!

It was nice to learn that the story of Clay being dumped was a Fantasy!!

Many fans felt that RCA was made up of a Chain of Fools.

As time went by, there were pages of dancing bananas, champagne flutes, and happy faces on every board. Clay’s fans were remembering the first notes of Clay’s Independent Tour and looking forward to another Kyrie.

Congratulations  to Clay Aiken.  It was confirmed by People magazine that Clay parted ways with RCA Records.

“We were unable to come to terms in a recent contract negotiation, and decided that it was best to move on,” according to Cindi Berger,  Clay Aiken’s rep.

Patience seems to be the word of the hour as we wait to hear the next step in Clay’s soaring career.
