Clay Aiken – A Leader For Inclusion

The National Inclusion Project was co-founded by Clay Aiken and Diane Bubel in 2003. It has established itself as the leading voice for inclusion and works with many distinguished youth organizations.

As a non-profit organization, the National Inclusion Project is always looking for innovative ways to earn money to support their wonderful programs. One of my favorites is the annual Dancing Like The Stars

“Dancing Like The Stars” is an annual event sponsored by The National Inclusion Project, Arthur Murray Dance Studios, and the Southern Women’s Show The event will take place on Saturday, April 28, 2012.

Local celebrities from the triangle area have partnered with a professional dancer and will provide a great deal of entertainment to those who attend the show.  The partners have been busy for weeks, practicing their dance moves and working to get as many votes as possible. There are four celebrities from television, (NBC17, WRAL-TV, WWAY-TV and ABC11) one amazing student from the Finley Y, and one Public Relations star.

  • Jonathan Bunzey & Aubrey Horn
  • Sharon Delaney & David Cox
  • Jake Fehling & Aubrey Horn
  • Currently in 1st place – Sloane Heffernan & Steve Caballero
  • Currently in 2nd place – Kitty Kinnin & Michael Parker
  • Amber Rupinta & Steve Caballero

Please visit the Dancing Like The Stars website to learn more about the contestants and their professional partners.  Then click to make a donation and vote for your favorite dancing couple.

So………………have you voted yet? Donations will be accepted on-line and at the event in exchange for votes.

Last year, The National Inclusion Project announced that Dancing With The Stars-2011 raised over $11,000.

Have you made your reservation for the Fan Fest yet?    It’s not too late.  The week-end will be filled with lots of fun, great Clay Aiken memories and the opportunity to raise money for The National Inclusion Project.  The following information was sent to me and I am passing it on to you.  Just a note to let you know reservations are still available for Fan Fest 2012. A deposit of $25 will hold your reservation. Payment in full is due by May 1st, 2012. If you are planning on attending you may want to consider forwarding your deposit to lock in your participation!!

The event this year has been extended to include a Sunday night Celebrity Apprentice viewing party from 8 until 11:00 PM at the Hotel May 20th. We are all hoping Clay will be one of the last 2 standing and will finally come in 1st place this time! It will be an exciting evening with a very special door prize that all those who attend this party will have a “free” chance to win.

The cost to attend the final event of Fan Fest weekend is only $12. This fee is not included in the weekend package cost. This is a separate event so you are welcome to join us even if you are unable to attend the entire weekend.

So…get out the map, put some gas in the car and head out to York, PA.  It sounds like it’s going to be an amazing weekend.  You just might be a winner of one of the raffles!!

Be sure and click HERE to see the web page for the Fan Fest.  It is full of all the details about the weekend.

I sure wish I lived close to PA.  I would love to attend this great event.

Do you have any ideas for fundraising for the National Inclusion Project?
