Clay Aiken – Let’s Make It Happen!

By musicfan123 · Comments 12923(8)http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F2011%2F11%2F03%2Fclay-aiken-lets-make-it-happen%2FClay+Aiken+-+Let%27s+Make+It+Happen%212011-11-03+08%3A48%3A39musicfan123http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F%3Fp%3D12923
Thursday, November 3rd, 2011

It is always a great day when I can post:

On Wednesday, Clay did blog on the OFC.  As usual, Clay’s blog was informative, funny, and sincere.  One sentence really made me smile:

Last year, your daily dedication to voting helped the National Inclusion Project win $50K in the Pepsi Refresh Challenge which was one of the best birthday presents I’ve ever received.

I don’t know about you, but I would love to see Clay get another great birthday present.  And we have the opportunity to make this happen.

The National Inclusion Project is participating in the November Pepsi Refresh Challenge for $50K.  They need our help…and it is so easy!  It only takes a few minutes each day and it doesn’t cost any of us a cent!!

All you have to do is vote…3 different ways!!  You can vote daily through your email, Facebook, and texting. Next, rally your friends and family to vote too.  This is a perfect time to mention the National Inclusion Project and let them know more about the wonderful organization.  Then get them to vote too.  Today, I took cell phones from my husband, son and daughter-in-law and added the Pepsi numbers in their contacts list.  Now, with a quick reminder from me, they can quickly help us out every day!!  It really is simple.

But, we do need LOTS of votes… I mean LOTS of votes…every day.  Some of the Project’s competition has enormous amounts of support so we need thousands of votes a day.  So…lets spread the word so we can help bring Let’s ALL Play training to more places across the nation.  We want ALL children to participate in all that life has to offer…plus, we can make 2011 the best birthday for Clay!!

The following is posted on the National Inclusion Website:

We have an awesome partnership with some very dedicated organizations this month so we would also appreciate you voting for them, too. You can go to www.tinyurl.com/pepsinovember to find the Pepsi links for all of our partners.

You can text the following numbers to PEPSI (73774)

  • 109857 – National Inclusion Project
  • 109468 – SWOOP Wheelchair Ramps
  • 109695 – St. Anthony’s School Computer Lab
  • 109801 – North Central Troy

For more information about this important project, visit TheNationalInclusionProject

The link to the Inclusion page on Pepsi can be found HERE

A few years ago, Clay said the following:

There is no better exercise for strengthening the heart than reaching down and lifting people up. The Bubel/Aiken Foundation is the culmination of that realization. It is my purpose now. It is the why of me.

For the month of November, lets make it our purpose too!

An Update on Clay Aiken and Celebrity Apprentice!!

On Monday, it was the middle of the day before we heard some news from New York

From Twitter…

 First:

Filming next door in @FlatironBID: The Celebrity Apprentice. Not bad for a Monday…

 Next:

just walked by clay aiken. guess they are filming a crystal light #celebrityapprentice challenge by

my office tomorrow.

 Then:

Just met Penn Gillette & Arsenio Hall at the costume store. They are filming Celebrity Apprentice. ow.ly/i/kj6Y

 So:

We know that Clay, Penn and Arsenio are still a part of Celebrity Apprentice.

 I wish I had more that I could post…

Can I say that even though there has been lots of snow in the past few days, I am in the mood for a day at the beach?

Sand, surf, umbrellas and a nice tasty drink…

I wish I could hear Clay Aiken sing some songs from the

Beach Boys

 Or even

 Jan and Dean.

It sounds like a real party to me!

I live in California…do they have these kind of events in New York?

I have a feeling that we will get lots of interesting tweets, pictures and reports tomorrow.  I hope the feeling is true.  Please check in often, as we will post the information as soon as it is available.

Questions?  E-mail me at

musicfan@claynewsnetwork.com

With all the excitement about Clay’s participation in Celebrity Apprentice, lets not forget that Clay will be participating in Cyndi Lauper’s All-Star Benefit concert supporting the True Colors Fund.  Titled Home For The Holidays, the concert will be held at the Beacon Theater on December 4th at 8pm.

This performance was posted on the Clay Aiken OFC today with a warning that the tickets are selling quickly.  If you are planning to attend, don’t wait too long.  You don’t want to lose out.  There are so many outstanding performers for this concert; I am looking forward to seeing the concert.  Clay is joining a great group of entertainers and I hope that Cyndi raises a huge amount of money for her worthy cause.

The eyes of the CLAYNATION are watching New York City…most of Clay Aiken’s  fans are watching and waiting to hear the latest news about Celebrity Apprentice.

Sunday brought us…

zilch, nada, nothing, zero…

All we learned was that it was cold in New York and that

Clay Aiken fans are still as supportive as ever!!

CANN will be watching all day, hoping to be able to post some tweets, messages or pictures as soon as they are available.

Stay tuned!!

Take a look at some of the popular Halloween superstitions given below. Some of these have been around for many years!  They are good for a few laughs!

  • If you ring a bell on Halloween, it will scare evil spirits away.
  • Knocking on wood keeps bad luck away.
  • A burning candle inside a jack-o-lantern on Halloween keeps evil spirits and demons at bay.
  • In North America, it’s bad luck if a black cat crosses your path and good luck if a white cat crosses your path. In Britain, Ireland, and Japan it’s exactly the opposite!
  • When bobbing for apples, it is believed that the first person to bite an apple would be the first to marry.

Clay Aiken – A Rumor Alert

By musicfan123 · Comments 12806(8)http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F2011%2F10%2F30%2Fclay-aiken-a-rumor-alert%2FClay+Aiken+-+A+Rumor+Alert2011-10-30+09%3A52%3A26musicfan123http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F%3Fp%3D12806

An Update on Clay Aiken and Celebrity Apprentice!!

It is Midnight!!

We learned…well, we have a rumor alert!

It has been reported that Clay survived another boardroom!

Also, it is rumored that Clay might be the Project Manager on Monday!

Calling all troops!  He just may need some assistance!

AGAIN!!  This is all rumor, but seems credible!!

One thing we know for sure…

it is still snowing in NYC.  Does that count?

Did You Know

  • October 30th is National Candy Corn Day.
  • One serving of candy corn contains only about 140 calories.
  • Candy corn has 3.57 calories per kernel.
  • More than 35 million pounds of candy corn will be produced this year.  That equates to nearly 9 billion pieces –enough to circle the moon nearly four times if laid end-to-end.
  • Halloween accounts for 75% of the annual candy corn production.
  • A cup of candy corn has fewer calories than a cup of raisins.
  • Candy Corn was invented by George Renninger and produced by the Wunderlee Candy Company in the 1880’s.  In 1900, the Goelitz Candy Company, now JellyBelly Candy Company, started mass-producing the candy, but, due to lack of machinery, it was only made available seasonally from March to November.  Its recipe has remained unchanged.
  • Candy corn isn’t just for Halloween.  There is also:

1.        Reindeer corn for Christmas (red, green, and white)

2.       Indian corn (it’s chocolate and vanilla flavored)

3.       Cupid corn for Valentine’s Day (red, pink, and white)

4.       Bunny corn for Easter (pastel-colored)

At least we know that Clay Aiken can eat Candy corn without an allergic reaction.  I wonder if the younger member of his family has had Candy Corn yet??

There are so many talented Clay Aiken fans.  The following are a few of the Halloween art projects that have been put together by these amazing people.  Many thanks to all of them for sharing their talent with the rest of us!

Clay Aiken – Winter Coats and Gloves!

Start spreading the news,
I’m leaving today.
I want to be a part of it –
New York, New York.

These vagabond shoes
Are longing to stray
And step around the heart of it
New York, New York.

The news from Celebrity Apprentice was slow to arrive on Friday.  It wasn’t until the afternoon that a few “Tweets” showed up…

QUOTE
Celeb sightings to and from work today near union sq: clay aiken and penn of penn and teller. What is going on? #NYC

Okay, I wasn’t tripping. I just ran into Arsenio Hall as I walked out of AI Friedman. Must be shooting film.

So…Union Square

Union Square is at the vibrant heart of New York City, a dynamic center of food, fashion, culture, and cutting-edge businesses. Home to the City’s oldest Greenmarket, a beautiful historic park, and hundreds of the best restaurants and shops, it is the ultimate New York neighborhood destination and The New York Times describes the area as “booming” and “on a roll.”

Well…this place certainly sounds like a great place for Celebrity Apprentice to stage a project.  Perhaps the celebrities had a project at The famous Union Square Cafe, or had to shop at Whole Foods Market…OR…could they be working with Danny Meyer, one of the great American restaurateurs of his generation. His Union Square Hospitality Group owns three of the Zagat Guide’s top five fine-dining establishments on the island of Manhattan.

Whatever their project, I hope the celebrities brought their winter coats and gloves….who would think that there would be “SNOW” before Halloween!!

Quote of the Day

It is not always about performance art, but about receiving positive energy from people with positive spirits. Sometimes we can see someone's spirit, and those are the people with great energy. Those are the people that get me through the day, especially on Broadway. -Clay Aiken
