Product Description
Welcome to the Playlist series. We’ve fished through hundreds of tracks to cherry pick the perfect playlists. Not just the hits, but…the life-changing songs. The out-of-print tracks. The fan favorites everyone loves. The songs that make the artists who they are. You’ll no doubt enjoy the sound of the beautifully remastered songs on this CD, unlike the compromised sound of an MP3 file.

You might also like the fact that the packages are environmentally-friendly (no plastic, 100% recycled paper). But we think the thing you’ll appreciate most about this Playlist is that even though you didn’t make it, you might wish you did. This package has been created with the environment in mind. All of the paperboard is 100% recycled and 100% recyclable. Of course, we would prefer that you not throw this package or CD away. We would prefer that you keep it in your collection to enjoy for many years to come! Full liner notes, photos, and more included as a PDF file on this CD. Enjoy!

  1. Love that Ashes is the first song. Great choice of songs. I don’t have On the Wings of Love. Will also love having Bridge Over Troubled Water (without as much overproducton as there was on the single, hopefully). Cannot wait to get this latest Clay treasure!

  2. Well..this is good..I’m glad the playlist is listed now…

I’ll buy it… I want to support Clay, even though he probably won’t see anything from the sales…the point is…We need to show him support, and show RCA…that they made a blunder when they didn’t promote him the way he should have been.

Thanks Cann for bringing this over…I’m surprised to see the playlist so quickly…Gosh the announcement of the parting of ways between Clay and RCA, hasn’t even been a week yet.. Seems to me RCA didn’t move this quickly when they had Clay signed on for them…??????? Amazing huh, but I do understand that this is Sony, the parent Co. of RCA.

Rifan, I’m with you…I would love a proper recording of Bridge over Troubled Water…without all the production they did on that single….You could hardly hear Clay’s voice…. It was a terrible recording. I guess they are use to drowning out artists voices, cause the majority really cannot sing, without that…When I want to listen to Clay singing that song, I prefer hearing him sing the live version from AI…It’s a much better recording…You can hear Clay so clear in that.

    Hugs,
    Judy

  3. Nice playlist and it is some of his best work, although he can sing about anything. I’m happy to see a few uptempo songs on the CD, too. I’m sure if we all listed our 14 favorites songs for this CD it would differ for each person as all have differing tastes. There will be songs we all wish were on this CD, but aren’t, but this is a good representation of his work.

  4. I love the songs that are on there, just am sorry that my favortie did not make it..
    I survived you..oh well!

    Maggi

  5. I wish they had included “Where I Draw the Line” and Everything I don’t Need” to the list. That would mix in some unexpected beats. Too bad they didn’t go for 20 songs.

  6. I am very pleased with the playlist . It is varied and spans his career . I hope that somehow those that haven’t followed him in recent years will find this collection and fall in love again with The Voice .

  7. I love this playlist! Some of my very favorite Clay songs…although there are many many more! I can’t wait to get it!!

  8. Musicfan,

Celebrating with the Clay Nation on the playlist for the upcoming TVBOCA CD! Like others, I am surprised at how early we have it.

Thank you for visiting the Carolina blog and participating in the poll. Despite the early announcement of the track list, people are still voting. It will be interesting to see the similarities and differences of the actual playlist and the survey results on 3/3.

    Have a great week!

    Caro

  9. Glad to see the playlist and totally agree with the overproduction of BOTW. The content of the playlist is representative of his recordings. Mine would be different and I assume each fan would have different list, but I’m pleased with the listing.

  10. I love love love that Ashes is First on this album and to end with Mary Did You Know? Just wow. I am pleased!

  11. I ordered my copy yesterday and am delighted to see the Playlist. I think it is all about supporting Clay whether he makes money on it or not. Looks like the release is only in the US which is a mistake but I’ll pay the exchange, the duty, whatever. This is a must have to add to our already fantastic Clay collection.

Thanks for the info. Your site is quickly becoming my favourite for info! Thank you again. 🙂

  12. How did they ever narrow it down to 14 songs?
Everything Clay does is the best, and I can’t wait to get this CD. Love the cover photo too!

  13. Nice playlist. I kinda wish ‘I Will Carry You’ was one of the songs. I’m so happy they included ‘Mary Did You Know’, clearly one of the best performances of any singer ever!

    Thanks CANN

  14. The playlist is a great “clipping” from Clays musical career and there is something for everyone on there. Its got many of my favourites so I am one happy bunny!!
