Congratulations to The Bubel/Aiken Foundation. They announced this week that over $100,000 was raised at the Golfing For Inclusion Tournament on January26, 2009.
The foundation also thanked the two corporate sponsors of the event, John Hancock and American Portfolios. Their support was important in supporting the event.
A $15,000 check was presented to the Peter Blum Family YMCA for their 2009 Inclusion program.
Jerry Aiken, the executive director of the Foundation announced that since 2003, the Foundation has supported over 65 programs throughout the nation. Over 4000 children took part in an inclusive camp or school program in 2008. To date, the Foundation has spent over $4,000,000 in support of these programs.
Sunday, February 15, 2009 was the final auction for the Broadway Bears, sponsored by BroadwayCares/Equity Fights Aids. For the second year in a row, the Sir Robin Bear, representing Spamalot was the big winner. Sir Robin, signed by Clay Aiken, sold for $16,000
Some interesting things have been happening at Clay Aiken’s MySpace page. On 1/31/09 there were 2,362,379 plays of songs. Today, there are 2,591,950. That’s a difference of 229,571 plays. It is good to see some interest in Clay’s music. However, since our article regarding MySpace on Sunday, his page does not show ANY new members. Why is that?? It doesn’t cost anything to join and it certainly would help Clay.

Did you know…over 10 million people in the U.S. suffer from TMJDs ? Clay Aiken was one of those people. When Clay announced last week that he had a procedure to fix the problem, interest in TMJD grew.
Symptoms:
Pain is the most common symptom. TMJ pain is often described as a dull aching pain in the jaw joint and nearby areas, including the ear, which comes and goes. Some people, however, report no pain, but still have problems using their jaws. Other symptoms can include:
- Being unable to open the mouth comfortably
- Clicking, popping or grating sounds in the jaw joint
- Locking of the jaw when attempting to open the mouth
- Headaches
- A bite that feels uncomfortable or “off”
- Neck, shoulder and back pain
- Swelling on the side of the face
Additional symptoms may include: ringing in the ears, ear pain, decreased hearing, dizziness and vision problems.
We all wish a swift and complete recovery for Clay Aiken. Feel better soon!
