Clay Aiken – Amazon

Amazon just published its annual Best of…….lists.  There must be at least 25 lists as each genre has its own list.  I am not sure why these lists were published before the holiday buying season, but perhaps it is a way to encourage more sales.

Since Clay Aiken did not release any new music this year, he is not included on any of the lists.  From what Clay has said, that will be different next year and I assume that his name will be at the top of many lists.

It is interesting to see  all the lists, however the most important lists are The Best Albums of 2009 and the Best-Selling Albums of 2009.  The Best Albums list proves that my knowledge of music comes from a different background than the Amazon editors who picked their favorites.  To be completely honest, I have never heard of most of the albums or artists.

I was more interested in seeing the list of the Best-Selling Albums.  I actually have some of those albums and know many of the other artists.

I am only posting the top 5 Best Albums, but including the entire Top 25 Best-Selling list.  To see all the lists, visit Amazon

Do you own any of these albums?  Besides Clay Aiken music, what do you listen to?

  1. Interesting article. I love reading anything about music.

My Ipod is all over the place. I have Green Day, Plain White T's, Pink, Gwen Stefani, Christina, Don Henley, lots of Eagles, U2, Gnarls Barkley, Gary Go, Aerosmith, Keane, Coldplay, Journey, Michael Jackson, some Pink Floyd, KT Tunstall, Evanescence, Brian Adams, Jack Johnson, Los Lonely Boys, and then there is Clay Aiken who I have every song he has ever recorded.

    • outback: I don't have CDs of most of the artists you mentioned, but I love listening to Pink, Eagles ( we own 2 or 3 albums), love love Bryan Adams, love MJ, too. Of course, just like you, I have all CAs cds, my fav. I like some of Journey's songs. I was introduduced to U2's music, but not really familiar with their songs. I don't have Christina's cds but I like to listen to some of her songs.
      Anyway, come post more often.

  2. I don't own any of those CDs, but am considering buying Susan Boyles. About half of those CDs I wouldn't even listen to if someone gave them to me for free.

  3. I have to ditto MagicalMusic and I'm also considering Susan Boyles CD. Sometimes I try to think to myself, why do I love Clay so much? I love the man, his music, and everything about him! I listen to his music over and over and never tire of hearing or seeing him. I know by all the comments, I'm sure not alone! What is it about Clay that keeps us so mesmerized for so long and sitting on the edge of our seats waiting for news, a word, a picture, a song, a crumb of anything about him? There's scores of good looking, personable, great sounding people in the entertainment world, but the only one I am drawn(magnetized) toward is Clay. What is it? MAE

    • Outback……..I hope you will post a ton more. Everything you say is important!! Because I am on vacation, I have been behind in approving comments. I only have a break here and thereto get on the computer.

I love that you enjoy so many artists. I do too.

    • I also think it's great that you enjoy other artist. I listen to others also. I don't own any of the ones you mentioned, but do listen to others. Just expressing feelings that I don't even understand about Clay. I enjoy reading everyone's comments. Please accept my apology if my comment was offensive. Didn't mean to be. MAE

  4. I, also, don't have any of those albums. I do listen to some of the artists…but just their songs I like. I had a question, how can Adam Lambert be listed on there when he doesn't even have a CD out yet?

My one and onlly, main guy I listen to is a guy named Clay Aiken. I think you may know of him. He is the handsomest, smartest, sexiest, bestest singer….I could go on forever. I just lurve that man!!

  5. I, too, enjoy music from many other artists although they might not be on the top of the list: Here's my iPod playlist: Muse, Bon Jovi, Springsteen, Kelly Clarkson, Journey, Blue October, Bryan Adams, couple of Queen, U2, Miley Cyrus, Eagles, classical selections, The Killers, Susan Boyle, Linkin Park Jacksong vid of "Earth Song", Nickelback Paramore, more and of course, Clay Aiken. Love being surrounded by music all day long. Attended a Bon Jovi , Muse concerts as well as Clay's taping during this month of March. ….
