Clay Aiken – The Beauty of Live Music

The great American Composer Aaron Copland once said,

“To stop the flow of music would be like stopping the flow of time itself; incredible and inconceivable.”

It does seem that music is the one thing in life that remains constant amid the world of trends and phases that come and go. It enhances our minds, imaginations and emotions and is universally engraved in our culture.

However, it seems that some people today surprisingly enjoy listening to music, but have never attended a live performance, live show, or concert. As you can imagine from my board name, I am an avid concert-goer and music fan. For me, the one and only thing better than music itself, is the beauty of experiencing music live, especially if it is a Clay Aiken concert.

Loads of music fans feel an uncontrollable sense of happiness, thrill and excitement seeing their favorite artist perform live.  It is like a dream come true!!  If you have attended a live music show or concert anytime in your life, you will surely agree that such events are the experience of a lifetime that will stay with you forever.

Once the stage is set, the spotlights are turned on and Clay Aiken takes his place, the fans begin to absorb and take in every second of the performance, swaying with the music and singing along with their Idol!!

Besides being fun, concerts first and foremost have been proven to benefit your health. This may sound ludicrous to some people, but it’s true.

Music therapy is a widely used technique that enhances well being, reduces stress and distracts a person from unpleasant symptoms, sicknesses or disorders, according to the Southern Medical Journal. The Journal says:

“It has been proven that music exerts direct physiologic effects through the autonomic nervous system.”

Basically, this means it effectively reduces anxiety and enhances a sense of comfort and relaxation in medical, surgical, intensive care or mentally ill patients, from young kids to grown adults.

According to a recent study done by the American Music Therapy Association, music can also help improve an individual’s standard of living, by managing stress, enhancing memory and improving communication.

Summer is here, and summer by far is one of the best seasons to see a live show.  And, this summer, Clay Aiken is touring throughout the Untied States.

So I urge you;  please treat yourself this summer with the priceless gift of live music.  Music generally has greater immediacy and emotional effects when it is a live recording or live performance.

So, what are you waiting for?  You only live once. Going to a live Clay Aiken show is a must-have experience that you will never forget and that just might hook you forever into attending concerts for other artists too.

  1. This is true. Seeing Clay in concert is the absolute best. I think it's the whole experience, for me at least. A lot of us go on Road Trips, gather before the show and after. It's really a memorable experience. Meeting up with other Clay fans, and just sharing and having fun. Clay does this to all of us….he brings us together. Clay shines on stage..he just does…He is truly is an entertainer.

    Hugs,
    Judy

  2. I grew up in a musical family so I have gone to many live concerts since I was a child. It really is an amazing experience. I remember hearing Brahms at the Hollywood Bowl and I saw Clay at the Greek. Both were memorable concerts.

Many thanks for this thoughtful post!

  3. Great post, thank you!! I too love live music. My very first concert was Jethro Tull, A Passion Play Tour. Since then I've seen everything from symphonies to Black Flag to John Denver to The Ramones – each has been special and memorable (except for Jackson Browne, only concert I ever fell asleep at). Top 2 favorite artists in concert are Bruce Springsteen and Clay Aiken. Both of these performers put on amazing shows, engaging the crowd, and thoroughly entertaining the audience with their music and their personalities.

I cannot wait for Reno!!! BRING IT ON!!!!

  4. I can believe that music is beneficial to health. I was never happier, and therefore, healthier, than when I was attending Clay Aiken concerts. He's such a great performer and vocalist!

  5. Musicfan,

Excellent article with well-documented reasons for attending a live Clay Aiken concert or two this summer! There's nothing like being there with the spontaneity Clay brings to the music as well as his entertaining interaction with the audience.

Thank you for your kind remarks in the Carolina blog today. Have a great week!

  7. I really do believe that music is a magical fixer-upper for whatever ails you. I know I have been so much happier ever since the first day I saw Clay Aiken and heard his music. I have gone to many of his concerts..and there is nothing else like it. I will be attending his Timeless Tour in Melbourne, Fl. in July..and can hardly wait. So, everybody, get thyself to a Clay Aiken Concert…you will never be sorry.

  8. Seeing Clay Aiken perform on TV or on video is wonderful. To see him in person is even better!!! I swear – in person – when he first appeared on stage he took my breath away. I can't explain it, but there is such a aura around him, it's magnetizing. He's such a great entertainer, you can't seem to wipe the smile off your face. Can't wait for what comes next!

  9. Very interesting article. I was at a concert last night and it did have a positive effect on me. I plan on being very healthy this summer by attending 3 Cluben shows and listening to as many concerts as I can via the cellstream.
