” You don’t love someone for their looks, or for their clothes, or for their fancy car, but because they sing a song only you can hear.” ~ Anon.
Do you remember September 15th, 2006? Clay Aiken kicked off the promotion for his CD, A Thousand Different Ways by making an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
All around, this was one great appearance. Clay was relaxed as he chatted about his recent trip to Eastern Europe, passing out in McDonald’s, and planning his funeral. Clay also was dressed to impress. He looked amazing in his suit with matching shirt and tie. Most important for the night was Clay’s wonderful performance of Without You. It was a fabulous night!
The following are some of the great pictures that were taken that night… there are no words!! Which one is your favorite?
That was for sure one of the best Clay appearances ever! He was soo soo handsome, funny and sounded fantastic! Thank you for the reminder. 🙂
I really miss Clay in the great moment like this. We know he is so funny and also an awesome vocalist. He can sing three songs with three different emotions, but with the same expressions, same dreamy look on his face.
PS* Thank you for your kind attention, we are OK. All we can do is just do the best for better Japan
I like picures 1 thru 7. Honestly..I really can't choose which one..Love them all. But I do have a preference for #3. I remember that appearance so well. Clay looked great and was dressed so very classy… I hope we get to see him on some more talk shows…It's been far too long…
I can't pick a favorite, they are all great pictures. I loved this look, long hair and scruffy. grrr love it.
Not a big fan of scruffy, but Clay surely does look scrumptious in that gorgeous suit. Since I do love me some long legs, photo #1 is my choice for a favorite.
Clay's Leno appearance in the video is a blast. He really is so hilariously funny and entertaining. What a superb reminder. Thanks for the memories!
Not only did he look great, he sounded amazing that night too. I love that interview, one of my all time favorites (and they're FUNNY Mozzarella Balls)
Thanks!
This was a great look, scuff and all. I miss all of this and Clay.
I think it's unanimous… all the above pictures are classy, in all, he is adorable, handsome, gorgeous, and on, and on, and on… all the superlatives.

Oh, WOW!! I had forgotten how wonderful Clay looked on this show. These pictures are amazing!!
AND……..love the videos too. Clay is so funny. I really miss him!
I was just watching this the other day. I think it was one of his most gorgeous looks. I love the darker hair with bangs, and the scruff. That beautifully fitting suit, shirt and tie combinations was so classy looking and he was so funny. I love the confident way he always strides out from the curtain. Want to see him again on Leno
It was so good to watch those videos again. Clay looked great !. I loved the suit and I am a
big fan of the "scruffy" look. He looked so handsome.
Love the first one with the blue background! I was there that night and OMG did he look great and I got a great keepsake, one of the camera guys gave me the "cue" card that says "Howie Mandel/Clay Aiken. This was my favorite look of his and his appearance on Kimmel around the same time! But he looked pretty "sweet" recently on the TNT tour!
Great interview and great look!
I am looking forward to future interviews and performances from one Mr. Aiken!
That was a great appearance on Jay Leno. I have always loved that first full length picture of Clay. He looks so gorgeous…in fact….perfect. You know he could also be a model because all clothes look great on him. That was such a fun appearance. Howie Mandell and Clay were great together. It was so funny. When Clay got up there and sang "Without You" it was just so thudworthy. Hope he gets to appear on Jay's Show again.
Clay hit a home run with his look, his performance and his interview. Clay really did look amazing that night and he sounded wonderful. The interview was so much fun.
Thanks for all your help!! I love your ideas!
What a great show that was! Picture #1 has always been my favorite sexy Clay look, although I do love the one where he says "If you have to make the sandwich too!".
My all time favorite Clay look. The hair, the suit, the scruff…….all Clay…. all the time.
All the pictures are gorgeous, I loved that look …he sure looked fabulous with that hair style and looked so amazing that night and he sounded great too.
The interview was so much funny.
Thanks for the memories.
Seeing those pictures brought an instant smile to my face. When I first 'found' Clay in 2008, that was one of the first videos I watched. Picture #1 is my favorite. Thanks for posting. 🙂
