Clay Aiken – Bring On The Pumpkin Pie and Apple Cider

The falling leaves drift by my window
The falling leaves of red and gold
I see your lips, the summer kisses
The sunburned hands I used to hold

Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I’ll hear old winter’s song
But I miss you most of all, my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

Lyrics by Johnny Mercer

Fall…Its here…The first touch of Autumn. Yes, today is the Autumnal Equinox, meaning that the sun will be directly on the Equator of the Earth and the hours of day and night will be equal.

I know that many of you are still suffering through sweltering temperatures and thinking about fall is the furthest thing from your mind. Some others are being buried in torrential rains. But a few of you will feel autumn in the air as the chill tickles your skin.

I love it when you see the leaves start to drop, a bit of gold here and a little scarlet there. Early autumn harvests of pumpkins, apples, and grapes tantalize our senses. The fall season gifts us with an array of color, texture, and taste…jack-o-lanterns, pumpkin pie, apple cider and pie, fresh grapes, and wine…I say bring it on!

I have no idea where Clay Aiken is today.  If  he is in Raleigh, he will celebrate the beginning of fall with lots of sunshine and they expect it to get up to 87 degrees. And if Clay is in New York, he might want to carry an umbrella as thunderstorms are in the forecast, especially if he goes out at night!

Clay…come to California!! If you are in Santa Monica,  it will be 78 degrees and mostly cloudy!!
I removed the list of songs and the links I had with them.  The owner of the website didn’t want visitors to his site.  Odd, isn’t it…You would think that if you spend hours on a site, you would want some traffic to your site.  Sad, because it was full of wonderful information.

I know this is a stretch, but the following video of Clay singing Falling is the best I could do!! Enjoy!

  1. I love, love, love, your post today!!! It is my very favorite time of the year for all of the reasons you
wrote about – you did good with the video, too! I would love to hear Clay sing all of those songs or
any of them – he would make them all delightful!!! Seems I remember him saying in one of the chats
that Fall was his favorite – along with Pumkin pie!!! Sounds really good to me! 🙂

  2. I love the fall. I just hate the season that follows it. Not much for driving in snow. Thanks for the montage of "Falling". Yes, Musicfan, it was a stretch..but that is just fine. As long as we can hear Clay sing…it's all good!!!! Thank you!!!

  3. Beautiful song sung by Clay's beautiful voice! Thanks musicfan, it's still pretty warm here in Newfoundland also 70 degrees and humid.

  4. Happy Fall everyone!!!
Falling is one of my favorites from OMWH Cd, I heard the whole CD today and falling sure sounds the right song for today.
While I was watching this video I also was wondering who made it…of course I was thinking of Sue since she did Amazing montages. Thanks Sue for your great work.
Thanks musicfan for posting the video and for all your great work.

  5. I'd like to add one more song to your list…Moon Dance. I'm heading up north (Michigan UP) tomorrow and hope to see some color during the next week. I'll have a lot of catching up to do with the CANN when I get back home.

  6. Autumn aka Fall — I'm pretty sure that Clay is a warm Autumn. Some of the colors of Autumn are Golds, Yellows, Rust, Greens, Burgundy, Orange, and Browns. All look fantastic on Clay and they definitely enhance his already good looks. Even his name – Clay – is a color that suits him well.

Though the song Falling might be a stretch of the imagination by linking it to the Autumn season, the word itself does describe the action of Autumn leaves, and Clay does an absolutely great job singing it. Hopefully it will be a wonderful Autumn for everyone.

  7. I love that song – auto tuning and all 😉 I also love Fall, it's my favorite season!! I also think it's Clay's favorite season! I don't think it's a stretch to use Falling in the least. It makes total sense to me! Thanks!

  8. Love that song and love Fall!! The pictures are beautiful and relaxing and, of course, that voice is wonderful!

  9. The page looks so nice. Love the "Falling Leaves"

The links to the other songs is great. What an interesting site. They have so much information. How did you find it?

Thanks again for the great post. It was great!

  10. I love the new look! Fall is my favorite season so thanks for posting the beautiful pictures. I love the link to the song. I am excited that now that fall is here, Clay's Christmas tour will be here soon!
I know I should not waste fall away wishing for winter to come, but gee I want to see Clay!

  11. We don't get much of a Fall here in Florida. But, I still enjoy it because the temperatures start to drop a little. We do get some pretty colors too.

Don't mind you putting up that video at all because "Falling" was one of my favorite songs on OMWH. Can't wait for those Christmas Concerts coming up. I will be in Clearwater for sure.
