I love getting tweets and re-tweets about Clay Aiken. You just never know what you will read.
On July 3rd, Playbill.com posted the following tweet:
PLAYBILL POLL! @WendyWilliams stepped into @ChicagoBroadway. Who was YOUR fave Bway replacement? Why? Tweet us 2 be featured on @Playbill!
— Playbill (@playbill) July 3, 2013
There were many comments to this tweets and many Clay Aiken fans voted for Clay’s role of Sir Robin in Spamalot.
This morning, July 5th, Eric Idle responded to to some of the fan re-tweets:
@M2MEee @Canuck1949 @playbill @ChicagoBroadway @clayaiken I wrote him a special verse…. He was excellent.
— Eric Idle (@EricIdle) July 5, 2013
How fun!!
Eric Idle is the author of the Broadway musical, Spamalot. Born in England, he is an actor, comedian, singer, writer and composer. Idle was one of the original members of the British comedy group, Monty Python. He also was a member of the Rutles on Saturday Night Live.
How nice that Eric would respond about Clay. We all think Clay Aiken is pretty special. It’s nice to know that Eric would take the time to support him too!
So…have you re-tweeted Eric yet?
That was great that The Eric Idle posted about how good Clay was in Spamalot. I really enjoy Twitter..although I usually just read the tweets. Hard to understand it. Clay always has some good tweets too.
Thanks for telling us, musicfan!! I love Twitter — it doesn't interfere, lets you copy stuff, never hassles you… but I just don't think to go out there every day, and I can't "twit" from my cell phone. I usually rely on checking them out when I come on here, lol.
P.S. Yes, ma'am, I did retweet it. LOL
