Clay Aiken – Making Us All Proud

I was sad to read this morning that Shirley Temple Black died late Monday night.

She was 85.

Temple Black, who also enjoyed a long career as a diplomat, died of natural causes at her Woodside, California, home.

She was surrounded by family and caregivers.

Ms Black lived close by in the San Francisco Bay area and she was loved by the entire neighborhood.

There has been so much news about Clay Aiken in the past week.  I have brought over many of the articles and interviews written about Clay and his bid for the Democratic nomination for Congress in North Carolina’s 2nd Congressional District.

Today, I thought it might be fun to see some of the tweets that have shown up.

I always love to see support from Clay’s friends and colleagues.

It is just a week since Clay announced he was running for Congress.  It has been a wonderful week.  I look forward to each day.

I would love to read how you feel.

What will Clay be doing today?  Whatever it is, I am sure he will be busy and making us all proud!

  1. In today’s world, Clay is a rare find, a person who is concerned with “we the people“ rather than “me, me, me“. He is honest and has no hidden agenda. He has a way of bringing people together.

Clay is surprisingly well versed in the history of our nation and possesses a sincere work ethic that would improve conditions for the underprivileged and forgotten. He is not afraid to stand his ground or to tell it like it is. Clay loves his State and the people in it and will fight for fairness and the betterment of everyone.

Even though I am not a North Carolinian, I am donating to Clay’s campaign fund because I believe he is the catalyst that very well may break the gridlock in Congress and bring Republicans and Senators back to their senses, enabling them to focus on functioning as Public Servants.

    • Wow! I couldn't agree with you more heartaiken! Clay has some wonderful friends in the business and awesome fans! I can't wait to see how everything unfolds in the next few months! Go Clay for Congress!!

  2. I am also donating to Clay's campaign even though I don't live in NC. His celebrity brings attention to the race and I like his message. I want to be part of this "new wave". I think his voice will affect races outside his own area. I want more from my own representatives. I want less blame and more solutions offered. He has set the tone for the campaign there and if all his opponents can do is sling mud they will look very small-minded. Very proud of him. Proud of us also for staying with him. Go Clay!

  3. I also agree totally with Heartaiken, Clay is a wonderful man and I wishI him so much success in his new venture, he has done us proud all these years and is still continuing to do so. God bless you Clay. Thanks Musicfan for this wonderful post.

  4. I'm always proud of Clay, but even more than ever now. Standing up and doing what he feels is right, is the honourable thing to do. He just doesn't sit back and complain about how things need to be changed, he's doing something about it. Bringing attention and speaking for those that cannot.

I agree with every word heartaiken. I'm not even American, and I am so interested in Clay's campaign. I wish him success. This is gonna be fun!!!!

  5. Hi Musicfan, I think my subscription to OFC has expired so I've been trying to renew it but can't seem to be able to, can you help me become a member again? Appreciate if you could help me.

    • I will try to get some info tomorrow. I know they are working on the site and the renewal problems I just don't know if it is fixed yet.

      • Okay Musicfan, I'll be patient, I know you're doing the best you can. Just one thing, they keep asking me for a 'Redeen code'

        • Renewals are now being accepted at the OFC. Click on "store" to renew. Then click in the left box that says "featured". It is orange. Hope this works!

  6. hi music fan im always amazed at what clay can do but evin more then ever now standing up and doing what he feels is indeed right he doest complain about how things that need to be changed im an americian and im glad that clay is doing a campain i wish him the best of everything im im so verry proud of clay
