Clay Aiken – Music Is The Voice of The Soul

I am always amazed when I think of all the special events and programs that Clay Aiken has been involved in. One of my favorites was the taping of his PBS Special – Tried & True Live! I love that the concert was filmed in Clay’s hometown of Raleigh, NC. The taping was held at the Memorial Auditorium on March 12, 2010. The musical guests for the program were Linda Eder, Ruben Studdard, Quina Parler, and the talented Ben Cohn who was the musical director of the show. It was wonderful and I was there!! The following are some fabulous pictures and videos from the concert. I am so glad that some talented people made screen caps of the TV show. Thanks to all!

  1. The Tried and True concert is absolutely Clay at his best. The DVD is a favorite part of my Clay collection. Those pictures are wonderful!

  2. I was at the taping, and loved every moment. Of course the "OMG" moment was when he sang Unchained Melody….He took us all by surprise, and we were simply amazed….. I will never forget that feeling. It gave me chills. What a thrill to be there "live" to hear that. The taping of UM, as good as it is, does not capture "that special moment".. It still amazes me.

    • Agree with all the above and especially you Judy! The OMG feeling was intense to say the least. G.Q. indeed! He was amazing!

  3. We were so excited to drive to NC and attend the taping. To see all the fans and Clay's family added to the thrill of the evening. I got my DVD by ordering by phone while watching the Tried & True PBS special in my viewing area.
