Clay Aiken – We All Dream In Gold!

The 90th annual Academy Awards was on Sunday evening. It was broadcast on ABC.  Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel returned to host the show for the second year in a row.

Congratulations to:

Best Picture: The Shape of Water

Leading Role – Actress: Frances McDormand

Leading Role – Actor: Gary Oldman

It was exciting to hear Keala Settle sing the wonderful song, This Is Me, from the movie, The Greatest Showman. She brought the house down and the entire audience was on their feet!

I always think that I know Keala.  After seeing her in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with Clay Aiken at the Ogunquit Place, I knew she was a very talented lady.  And then, when she performed at the National Inclusion Project Gala, I knew she had a huge heart!  I wish her the very best and hope that I get to hear her perform again…soon.

I always think it’s fun to find out about some of the fun facts about the Oscars!  I like the fun, OMG moments.  Fortunately, I am not the only one. Wallet Hub came up with some amazing number facts!

What an exciting night!  I loved seeing the beautiful dresses and enjoyed Jimmy Kimmel and the positive tone of the show!

I don’t know what Clay Aiken was doing on Sunday evening, but I bet he is very proud of his friend, Keala!

We all miss you, Clay, and hope that you are OK!  We hope to hear from you soon!!

  1. One of my anticipated moments of the Oscars was the performance of "This is Me" I was hoping for the song to win. The audience went wild! I know Clay will be back soon, I do miss him!

  2. After seeing Keala Settle in 'Dreamcoat' with Clay, I feel like I know her, too. Did you see her as the bearded lady in 'The Greatest Showman' singing This is Me? Fabulous! I am missing Clay on Bold, hope he is well. Maybe he has some big secret project he is working on.

  3. I wish I had seen that production! Her performance of that song was the SHOWSTOPPER on the OSCARS the other night, BUT, more folks liked the almost as good, not quite, REMEMBER ME! over THIS IS ME! unfortunately! It did come from a better movie, more of a hit too, and the Hispanic factor put it over the top.
I think people also thought, 'those dudes just won last year' (la la land) which they did, but this song was superior. The couple who won for RM just won several years ago for that earworm from 'FROZEN'! So anyway, TIM is an earworm more this time, really!
