No, No…No panic. Yes…this is a blog about the talented Clay Aiken.
But for some reason, this musical came into my mind when I was trying to decide what to write about today
…and it wouldn’t go away…so…
Sunday In The Park With George is a Broadway musical written by the talented Stephen Sondheim.
Inspired by the painting, A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat, Sunday in the Park with George, merges past and present into beautiful, poignant truths about life, love and the creation of art.
The Broadway production of the show opened in 1984. The musical won the 1985 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, two Tony Awards, and many Drama Desk Awards.
I have to admit that I have never seen the live show, but I have heard the music many times. My favorite recording is the original Broadway production starring Mandy Patinkin and Bernadette Peters. The orchestration is absolutely beautiful!

So…school is almost over and we are back to Clay Aiken. How is the show related to Clay??? Well…I told you!! The title of the show kept running through my mind and I had to find a way to work it out…
Even if it is a silly relationship!! Don’t laugh…
It is Sunday and Clay has spent many “Days In The Park”.
Well….There are many more park pictures…but…this is all we can do today!!
I hope you have a wonderful Sunday In The Park With ?(Clay)
Love the Cedar Point Photo as we live very close to Cedar Point and spent many summer
days there during the growing up years of our family. We had attended the Columbus
Tour stop on Sat. the next stop was Sterling Heights, Mich. and while Clay was at Cedar
Point we were driving to Michigan. It was a great weekend – Clay talked about Cedar Point
escapades at the show in Michigan and he was definitely sunburned from their day at the park. It was such a fun weekend! It was the only Tour that we got to see 2 shows.
Thank you for all the pictures with Clay. I liked them all. Maybe everyone should go to the park today.
If you come to the Topiary Gardens in downtown Columbus, OH you can see a life sized re-creation of this painting made out of bushes. It includes the lake and boat, monkey, dog,and all the other characters. Wow! Wonder if Clay saw it the many times he performed here.
Love all the pictures of Clay in the park, whether doing his concerts or just having fun!
thanks very much for all the pictures of with clay weather hes doing his amazing concerts or just haven some fun
