Clay Aiken – Meeting The People of District 2

Clay Aiken’s Clay For NC bus tour spent most of Friday in Cumberland County.

Clay was scheduled to make stops in Fayetteville at Operation Inasmuch, the Center for Economic Empowerment and Development, and Capitol Encore Academy. He also planned a stop at the Canady Farm Corn Maze & Wagon Ride in Hope Mills in the afternoon.

Because of social media, we know that Clay and bus visited each of these places…plus a few more!

Clay started the day with a visit to Sherry’s Bakery in  Dunn.

Clay also visited The Capitol Encore Academy. This is a free public charter school in Fayetteville.  It’s unique curriculum includes Fine and Performing Arts integrated with Core Academics.

The Capitol Encore Academy. Guess who stopped by The Capitol Encore Academy today? Clay Aiken!!! So proud to have such a talented performance artist visit our school and talk with our staff and students about learning and the importance of arts in education!

The next stop for Clay and the bus was the Canady Farm Corn Maze & Wagon Ride in Hope Mills.

Canady Farm is open during the fall season and features a six acre corn maze, wagon rides, feeding farm animals, story time, narrated nature trail, green house and much more! Seasonal produce is also available. They also have an educational nature trail.  According to those who have visited the Farm, it is fun for the whole family and great for all ages!  The pictures look like Clay had a great time!!
