Measure of A Man

Today, we honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He was a clergyman, an activist and the most predominant voice of the civil rights movement in the 1960’s. His non-violent protests and his eloquent speeches for social justice won the support of millions of Americans. Dr. King’s memory is especially poignant as we anticipate the inauguration of the 44th President of the United States of America.

“An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.”
-Martin Luther King, Jr.

Interestingly, this quote reflects the ideals embodied in one who is the founder of an organization that advocates the inclusion and support of children with all abilities and needs (The Bubel/Aiken Foundation) and a UNICEF ambassador.
