Clay Aiken – Always #1

The birthstones for August are the peridot and the sardonyx.

The birth flowers for August are the gladiolus and the poppy

This 8th month of the year is going to be an outstanding one

for Clay Aiken and his huge family of friends and supporters!

On Thursday, August 31st, Nick Leisey, the Finance Director for Clay Aiken for North Carolina sent out a new e-mail:

I can’t believe it. We’ve raised over $600,000 from individual supporters just like you. That’s almost twice what Renee Ellmers has raised from individual folks, and we did it in a third of the time.

But special interests are pouring money into Ellmers’ campaign to keep it afloat. We’re going to need your help to fight back and win on November 4. That’s why we’re asking you to support our campaign by making small, monthly contributions to help flip this district from Renee to Clay.

Join our campaign by committing to contribute $11.04 a month to help us win on 11/4.

It’s really that simple, and your monthly contribution will go a long way to help us get our message out.

We’re proud of the grassroots campaign we’re running. When we win, it’s going to be because folks like you supported us the whole way.

So chip in $11.04 a month over these next 3 months to help us fight Renee Ellmers’ special interest money with contributions from folks just like you.

We need you on our team. Your help will make the difference on November 4.

Yours,
Nick

There was an interesting article posted today…it is not political, but I love seeing the video of Clay that is a part of the post:

Jake’s Take – Jake’s Take’s Top 15: The Best Performances in the History of Reality TV

… 1. Clay Aiken: “Bridge Over Troubled Water” (American Idol-Season Two, 2003)

North Carolina’s native son delivered the performance of a lifetime when he brilliantly transformed Simon & Garfunkel’s simple song into a gospel anthem that made him a star! His final notes gave everyone chills and cemented his place at the top of the Idol pantheon.

I hope you will visit the site and see the list of interesting singers he has rated…personally, I enjoy #1. If you click on the  Red title, it will take you to the video. You can see the entire list at JAKESTAKE

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday…

AND that we get some fun news from Clay and his team!

Thank you for your support of CANN!
