Clay Aiken – It’s Unique!

Unique is a word that has been used many times to describe Clay Aiken. The activities that have surrounded his celebrity are often unusual and exciting, making this young man a real star.

One of the most unique events in Clay’s musical career might be found right in his hometown of Raleigh, North Carolina. The North Carolina Museum of History asked Clay if they might show one of his American Idol outfits as a new exhibit. So Clay donated a white shirt, black pants and a pair of shoes he wore on the show.

The clothes went on display on March 2, 2004 and remained up until September 6, 2004 at which time they became a permanent part of the museum’s collection.

Since its founding in 1902, The North Carolina Museum of History has been an exciting place to explore North Carolina history. The museum encourages visitors to discover the past; to reflect on their own lives and their place in history.

The Raleigh community and the museum were obviously proud of their hometown prodigy. This exhibition certainly got a lot of attention and brought many fans to the museum and confirmed that Clay Aiken is a unique celebrity and a huge success.
