Clay Aiken fans were excited to learn on Tuesday that Clay would be a guest on the popular and quirky television show, Drop Dead Diva. But it seems that the press is also interesting in this intriguing collaboration. In the last 24 hours, there have been at least 150 articles published about Clay’s role on the show.
You can find Drop Dead Diva on the cable channel, Lifetime. It is hard to put DDD in a category, but it is described as a legal comedy/drama television series with a bit of fantasy. Produced by Sony Pictures Television, the hour-long show was created by Josh Berman.
The Drop Dead Diva storyline centers around an insipid, aspiring model that is killed in a car crash. Through a complicated schedule of events, she returns to earth in the body of a recently deceased, overweight and intelligent lawyer. Of course, this new life proves to be challenging and funny, all at the same time.
The series which starts its third season is know for its use of guest stars. Some of the celebrities that have been featured on the show include, Paula Abdul, Sharon Lawrence, Tim Gunn, Cybill Shepherd and Elliot Gould.
Drop Dead Diva is set in Los Angeles, California, however the show is filmed in Peachtree City, Georgia.

According to TVGuide.com, Broadway veterans Clay Aiken and Lance Bass are set to star in the fifth episode of the third season of DROP DEAD DIVA. Bass will star as a casting director and Aiken as a witness in a mail-order bride scam case.
Aiken made his Broadway debut playing the role of Sir Robin in Monty Python’s Spamalot in January 2008. On August 14, 2007, Bass began a six-month stint playing Corny Collins in the Broadway musical Hairspray, coinciding with the play’s five year stage anniversary.
