In spite of the rain, Clay Aiken had a busy day meeting many people throughout the 2nd Congressional District in North Carolina.
The day started with a Facebook message from the Cary VFW Post 7383
Come on down to our car show. We have music, food, and drinks. Thanks to Clay Aiken for coming to the Post.
Clay also visited the 41st Annual Crepe Myrtle Celebration at Depot Square – Downtown Angier
The following was on Facebook:
Paul Long
Great day I helped serve bbq and chicken with sides at The Country Store 1st annual Pig Picking and I had ton of fun & saw a lot friends, great folks good food. Then proceeded on to the Crepe Myrtle where I joined some hard working Democrats and Candidates at our booth including but not limited to — with Susan Lloyd Byerly and 7 others. (Clay is listed as one of the 7 others on Facebook).
And what is a campaigning day without a good meal. Clay sent the following tweet:

Great dinner between events in Cumberland County! (@ Fred Chason`s Grandsons in Hope Mills, NC) https://www.swarmapp.com/clayfornc/checkin/…HPh8&ref=tw …
According to the Visit North Carolina website:
More fondly called Grandson’s, this is the epitome of a “local favorite” that serves a big helping of Southern Hospitality. The buffet-style is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, serving up fried chicken, local style BBQ, salad and all the fixins’. Grandson’s will fill your belly and your glass of sweet tea.
What did you eat, Clay???
Hopefully the rain will stop and on Sunday, Clay can visit more fun and exciting places and events in North Carolina!
