The New York Observer announced on June 18th, that Literary agent, David Vigliano was presenting a proposal for a Christmas book by Clay Aiken.
Rumors had been circulating for a few days that a book might be in the works for Clay as he was spotted visiting the office of Mr. Vigliano in the Flat Iron Building in New York.
Mr. Vigliano has been representing Clay Aiken for a few months and he said that the book would be
a modern reinvention of A Christmas Carol.
According to Mr. Vigliano, the co-writer of the book will be Meri Nana-Ama Danquah, a well-known author and editor.
Congratulations, Clay. This book would be a best-seller for sure.

I’m looking forward to this book. Christmas is my favorite time of the year, although it does seem strange looking forward to Christmas in June!
Excellent!!! Christmas and Clay Aiken – a match made in heaven!!!
Here’s hoping for TV appearances, book signings – maybe a new Christmas CD and tour?? Hey, a girl can dream, right?
I am so looking forward to this book. Anything that Clay Aiken does is done meticulously and intelligently. He is literate and caring and it will be a beautiful book.
Clay Aiken is a man of so many talents. Clay came up with the idea for this in his lovely Christmas tour and he will be a full partner with whoever co-writes this book with him.
This will be a book that will be around for years to come.
I cannot wait!
Clay Aiken is a talented man and I believe this will not be primarily a children’s book. Family and friends are so important to him and possibly it will be somewhat about that.
This will be a book for families to share about the true meaning of Christmas. His co-author is an interesting person.
This is very exciting, Clay Aiken is a very talented man, and I for one can’t wait to get this book.
What exciting news! I know this will be a fabulous book. Clay is so creative as well as loving and caring….just the ingredients needed for a wonderful, touching Xmas story. I sure know what I’ll be giving everyone for Xmas this year! CAN’T WAIT!
How exciting! I assume they are talking about the 2005 Christmas concert, I know that one well 🙂 It’s the only one I’ve been to. It will be so interesting to see how he changes his original story for a book!!
Our man of many talents will give us a super duper book !!
What a diverse young man…He can do anything…Sing, write, act, and dance…yes dance….Clay is amazing, and I look forward to his book…. I have read LTS a few times, and love it.
Hugs,
Judy
Way to go, Clay Aiken, the man just keeps amazing me with all the different talents he has.
It will be interesting to see how the musical story translates into a book. I absolutely loved that Christmas tour and hope the ‘new’ book is as charming as the original script.
One thing for sure – I’ll be the first in line to buy it! 🙂
Very exciting! Clay Aiken is a man of many talents. I am looking forward to this book and can not wait to purchase it for the holidays!
Sounds interesting! I figuted Clay wouldn’t stay away from work long. Even on his “vacations”, he makes trips for UNICEF.
Excited about the book. We need the music. Where’s the music? The voice, where’s the VOICE.
So many possibilities exist for this book. I saw the 2005 Christmas concert and loved it. I’m looking forward to reading what Clay writes.
Great idea to turn Clay’s play into a book. I hope we’ll see a lot of Clay promoting it.
I’m excited!!!
What a wonderful idea a book about his JNT225 Christmas Concert. I saw this concert and it was excellent. I will also be looking for Clay on my TV promoting this book. I can’t wait to purchase the book and I will be giving it for gifts also.
You know, this morning I started listening to Christmas songs. Only Clay Aiken could have me doing that in June. Gotta love the guy. I am really looking forward to this book.
