Beyoncé, 50 Cent, Justin Timberlake, Tim McGraw, and Matchbox Twenty were among the nominees for the Fans’ Choice Award (a forerunner to today’s Artist of the Year) in November 2003. But none of them won.
The winner was the sixth nominee, Clay Aiken. Which shows just how hot Aiken and the American Idol franchise were at the time.

Don’t forget that Clay will be on TV today (Sunday).  He will be on the Al Jazeera America channel.  According to their website, Al Jazeera America is a cable and satellite television channel.
Clay will be making his second appearance on The Third Rail, a weekly current affairs program.  They pride themselves as a show that asks the tough questions that others avoid and digs deep into issues that affect all of us.
For the last few days, the program has been tweeting about the upcoming program.  The following are 2 of the topics:

The same two messages were posted on Facebook too.  I am glad that they advertise their show and seem too be proud of their programs.

I am looking forward to watching this show.  I am sure that Clay will have a lot to add to the discussion.

  1. Yes, I will definitely be watching the show! I saw a preview recently, and the comments were heating up! This one promises to be exciting!
    I remember AMA's back in 2003, I was on the edge of my seat. I was jumping up and down when they announced Clay's name for the Fan's Choice Award! Clay was ever so humble with his speech! Feeling so proud!

  3. im also wishing clay luck im sure clay wil indeed add alot on this show he alwas has intreresting things ta say i can also remember amas back in 2003 i was so excited i was so happy and amazed when i herd clays name for the fan choice award and that clay won what a amazing night and clay was indeed humble with his speach and feeling so proud
