On Wednesday, June 29th, Clay Aiken was a guest on the ABC show, The View. Clay talked about the HB2 Bill in North Carolina, his home state. Clay was on the program and was a guest on the panel. He talked about HB2, known as “The Bathroom Bill.”
A part of the program was showing the trip that Clay made to North Carolina with The View regular, Raven-Symone. He showed videos of some North Carolina residents. 70% of the residents are against the bill and 30% support the bill.
Clay and Raven also had a conversation with two transgender North Carolina residents. They discussed how the bill has changed their lives and has made them uncomfortable.
The entire panel joined in the discussion and the program was very informative. It is nice that both sides of the bill were listened to and discussed.
There was a lot of publicity about this episode of The View. Clay recorded a short video from backstage before the show and there were tweets from Clay, The View, and ABC to let the public know that the show was on.

After the show there was a lively conversation on twitter. Many people seemed interested in the show, Clay, and the topic.
The following are some of the tweets:

A big thank you to ABC, The View, Raven-Symone, and Clay
for such an interesting and important show.
Very good show, the best I have seen on "The View". I liked when Clay was sitting in the audience and listening to the comments from the over zealous guest and made his views known, Whoopie was great, too! Thanks CANN!
