Clay Aiken – Monday’s Mid-Day Update

It is time for the mid-day update!

It looks like Clay is having an exciting but busy day on his campaign trail.

Through Twitter, we learned that Clay was at a very special luncheon.

According to their twitter account, LilliansList is:

a network of individuals who work to recruit, train, and support pro-choice progressive women running for North Carolina public office.

The guest speaker at this luncheon is Debbie Wasserman Schultz.  Ms Schultz  is the U.S. Representative for Florida’s 23rd congressional district, a member of the Democratic Party and the Chair of the Democratic National Committee.

Why yes, that IS congressional candidate Clay Aiken glad handing his way thru the pro-choice @LilliansList luncheon. #LLKickoff14

Congratulations to Clay for attending another high-profile event.  I hope we will get more information about the luncheon later.

There is a wonderful article about The North Carolina Theater that includes a great picture of Clay!

Building A Bridge To Broadway: NC Theatre Enters Its Fourth Decade

Clay Aiken, the singer and current Congressional candidate, says North Carolina Theatre introduced him to performance. A nosebleed view of Martin Moran performing in Big River when Aiken was 13 “was probably the first time that I’d ever realized that you could make a living singing. That was kind of powerful to me,” he says. And his years performing with the theater, he says, gave him connections for the rest of his career.

  1. WOW…looks like Clay attended an interesting luncheon. Nice to see the pictures.

I love the group picture from the NC Theatre. It's nice that he is included in the group.

Thank you for all the information!!

  2. I'm sure Clay was very comfortable at the luncheon. He is at ease talking with women…he's had plenty of practice over the years. Nice article and photo of The North Carolina Theatre.
