Do you use SnapChat? If so, I bet you are having fun. If not, maybe you will give it a try and have lots of fun!
On Monday morning, Clay Aiken posted a snapchat on his Instagram account.
Oh…Harlem!!! Your new look is “dashing”!

Snapchat is a popular mobile app that allows you to send videos and pictures that will self destruct after a few seconds of a person viewing them. Snapchat is also a fun messaging app. You can capture a photo or brief video with it, then add a caption, a doodle or filter/lens over top, and send the finished creation to a friend. You can also save your snaps before sending them to friends.
Clay used a filter on this picture he took:
Craig Smith, at the website DMR, wrote an article about snapchat and compiled some interesting statistics. The article was updated on March 2, 2017.
The number of Snapchat users:
158 million daily active users
The average number of snaps per day:
2.5 billion
The average number of photos shared every second:
9,000
According to Salman Aslam at Omnicore,
- It would take you 10 years to view all the photos shared on Snapchat in the last hour.
OK, OK…it’s popular!!!
I downloaded the free app for Snapchat and have used it a couple of times. My grandkids think it is so much fun!!! So…give it a try. It’s free and your family will think you are “in the know”.

Have a great Tuesday!!
"Harlem" looks very dashing! Love all the photos, especially of OMC being silly!
My only use of that icon was with a live conversation with Taylor Hicks and a large group of other people. Love the puppy dog Clay and the real puppy dog. Looks like Clay was having a bit of fun on his computer. Glad he let us in on it. Thanks for all the info on Snapchat. Clay does a lot of theater going doesn’t he. One of the benefits of living in New York. ❤️ UNCONDITIONAL love for you Clay. Woof woof!
I use Snapchat and I think it is fun. Thanks for the stats. I didn't know it was that popular.
Martha, could we talk in email? Suddenly I’m shut out if being able to get my news email, and I cam’t move to mire recent posts on this site – sys puts a veil over the page. Only the latest one ask if “I understand” and when I “click” on it (I only have a cell, not a pc), it is not recognized and nothing happens. Yikes! After all these years, to be shut out of your winderful newsletter breaks my heart
