“I think celebrities have an obligation to the public to not just sing or act.”
This quote by Clay Aiken was shown to be true today when Clay posted a blog in support of UNICEF and ONE.
According to their website, ONE is a grassroots campaign and advocacy organization backed by more than 2 million people from around the world and every walk of life. They are committed to the fight against extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa.
ONE believes the fight against poverty is not about charity, but about justice and equality. They are a part of a greater movement of people and organizations working to end poverty throughout the world.
Clay Aiken reported in his blog that he is asking President Barack Obama to support One and is asking us all to sign a petition to the president.

Thank you, Clay, for your determination to make a difference in some way.
Unicef! Sorry for the earlier typo!
Bravo Clay and unicer!
Signed, sealed delivered!!!!
Wouldn’t it be amazing if the number truly was Zero?
Thanks to ONE, UNICEF and of course Clay for caring. You all make the world a better place to live in.
Thanks to Clay for always thinking of the needs of others and bringing it to the public’s attention. It is important that we all sign this petition to better the lives of children all around the world.
I support UNICEF and I am so glad Clay devotes his humanitarian efforts to this wonderful organization.
Im a UNICEF supporter. Thanks for posting this information. I signed the petition, which is a painless way to get involved.
I have been a supporter of one for some time. It is a natural fit with UNICEF. I am so glad to see this joint
effort-especially with Clay-to bring support for both of these very worthy organizations.
Thank you Clay Aiken and UNICEF, Hope a lot of people will sign the petition to President Obama, and something will be done for the children in need.
Thank you Clay and UNICEF for the work you have done for children all over the world. I couldn’t sign the petition fast enough!
True to form, Clay Aiken has wasted no time in asking our new president to assist the children of the world. Awesome!
Thank you for another great blog. Thank you, too, for your kind remarks in the current Carolina entry.
Have a great weekend!
This was a great blog and I most certainly signed the petition.
All signed and they even let my little country participate!
