Why is it that when you lose electrical power, important things seem to happen in the rest of the world? Well, it certainly felt like this for me last night as I was without power for much too long! It didn’t do me much good to have the electricity come back on in the middle of the night! Twenty thousand homes were involved and the mall was dark too. But, all is well now and it is fun to have some news to talk about.
If you are a member of Clay Aiken’s Official Fan Club, you have probably read Monday’s blog by Clay. If you do not belong to the OFC, Clay still wants you to know about his newest project and hopes you will participate in the excitement.
Clay and his friend, Quiana are working on a radio project. Clay announced this to us in January but asked us to keep it in the family and not mention it on twitter, facebook, or on public boards.
On Tuesday, Clay let us know that the pilot date for the show is just one week away…on Tuesday, February 26th. Clay seems excited and asked us to share the news with all the fans. On Wednesday, TeamClay tweeted about the show and also posted about it on FaceBook. What a fun time for Clay and for all of us too. We get to watch something grow from the very beginning and help by calling in questions and listening to the pilot show.

Have you been following the “feud” between Kelly Clarkson and Clive Davis? It certainly has been in the news a lot the last couple of says.
On Tuesday, Kelly accused Clive Davis, a top label executive of distorting the facts about their business history in his new memoir, The Soundtrack of My Life. Kelly claims his book is full of “memory lapses and misinformation.”
Kelly said:
Growing up is awesome because you learn you don’t have to cower to anyone – even Clive Davis.
Davis paints Kelly as a diva who is outspoken and ignored his advice. He also said that she became hysterical and sobbed in his office when she didn’t get her way.
Whatever the facts are, it is too bad that Mr. Davis decided to put these comments in his book. I would think that these are business meetings that should be kept between the people who are involved.
I knew nothing about Clive Davis until he worked with Clay Aiken at RCA. He was the person who gave Clay his double platinum plaque on Good Morning America in October, 2003. He is also the person who mandated that Clays sophomore album be changed from original music to covers.

I'm excited about the radio show and I'll be there listening! I also had never heard of Clive Davis until Clay, but have since had a very bad opinion of him. Clay should have had a better promotion, but Clive took care of keeping that from happening. Fans are still hurting from what Clive did to Clay. Can't stand him! Sorry to vent, but I'm thrilled that Kelly is standing up to him. Go Kelly!

There are five pages about Clay in Clive's book. Clive blames Clay for everything that went wrong. I'd love to see Clay respond, just as Kelly did, but knowing Clay as we do, he probably won't.
I don't think Clay will waste his time to respond to whatever Clive said in his book. Clay is too classyand highly educated to respond to that garbage comment he made about Clay, and Clive is a bully and tried it to Clay, and he did not succeed.. We have the saying that "What goes around, comes around and Clive's time will come around in a very nasty way…

As far as the feud between Clive and Kelly. From what I have read about Clive he is a nasty person..and thinks of only one person..and that would be him. He never did anything to help Clay in his career..just put him backwards by making him do a covers album. I'm glad Kelly is standing up for herself.

As far as Davis and Kelly,I would believe Kelly anyday over Clive Davis. I am glad she is speaking out because I am sure she is not the only one who has had bad experiences with Mr Davis.
Good for Kelly for sticking up for herself and not being afraid to stand up to Clive. Tuesday is going to be so much fun. I hope Clay gets the right type of calls to use for his pilot.

That's very sad to have to make others look bad to make yourself feel or look good. *shakes head* That's one memoir I will not be buying/reading.
