Clay Aiken – Here, There, And Everywhere!

On Tuesday, there was some small mentions of Clay Aiken that were fun and informative…Not big headline news, but things “Here and There.”

Weatherstone Elementary School is in Cary, North Carolina.  It is part of the Wake County Public School System.  Their PTA posted the following announcement on the schools website:

5th Grade Recognition Ceremony

We wanted to share some information regarding the Recognition Ceremony and Reception honoring our 5th graders.

  • Students should arrive in the classrooms no later than 9:00am. Prior to the start of the Recognition Ceremony, we have arranged for each class to have a picture taken with our Guest Speaker, Clay Aiken. We need to get this done as quickly as possible, so that the ceremony can begin on time.

I would think that this will be one speech that Clay will really enjoy as he faces the excited 5th graders.  They are all too young to have seen him on American Idol, but I bet they will love him after tomorrow!

Facebook was the source of some positive messages about Clay.  What do you think?

Our Moral Monday sub group is getting larger. Yesterday we divided our time. Roz (second from left) went to Moral Monday and I went to a political event to hear Clay Aiken and Brenda Cleary explain why they are going to beat the two right wing extremists in two of our local Congressional Districts. Brenda Cleary is very bright and Clay Aiken is a very, very impressive speaker.

Clay Atkins is running for congress in North Carolina. I seen him at the the Qgunquit Play House last summer. I had a chance to speak with him and from our conversation I know his heart is in the right place to help people. The state of North Carolina would be lucky to have him be their next Congressmen.
Cooley’s Restaurant and Pub (now including Cooley’s Too!)
Look who stopped in for lunch today…. Non other than American Idol runner up… Clay Aiken! He was kind enough to pose for a picture and autograph a Cooley’s Tshirt! Hope to see you again soon Clay!

Twitter was nice to Clay today too!

Great lunch discussion with Clay and his staff. I talked politics the race against Renee Ellmers nonstop

Paul, from Buies Creek, NC, describes himself on twitter as:

Buies Creek is in Harnett County and is the home of Campbell University.

The North Carolina Democratic Party Convention  was held on Saturday, June 7th at the Raleigh Convention Center.  The following picture is a screen cap from a video of the event.

Today, there are two public events for Clay Aiken that we know about…the Weatherstone Elementary School 5th grade speech and a reception/fundraiser in the evening.
Hopefully, there will be some pictures and posts about the events.  So…stop by during the day for updates!

  1. Even though much wasn't happening yesterday, seems Clay was out and about talking to people….getting his message out. Loved seeing the pics as well. Clay's best asset is himself…once people talk to him they are impressed.

  2. Yea so nice to see new wonderful posts and pictures of Clay!! I'm so happy that after people meet him, see how articulate & caring he is. Thanks again musicfan for all your hard work..

  3. My grandson just 'graduated' from the 5th grade. Wish Clay could have talked with his class. I'd have been in the first row! Clay has so much stamina, he just keeps going to all these events and amazing folks with his knowledge and caring.
