Flag Day is observed in the United States on June 14.
It commemorates the day in 1777 when the Continental Congress adopted
the Stars and Stripes as our flag. It then had only 13 stars, to match its 13 stripes.
Father’s Day is the day when the people of many countries express gratitude and
appreciation for their fathers by giving them gifts or greeting cards. In the United
States and Canada, Father’s Day falls on the third Sunday in June.
On the Summer Solstice, which occurs on June 21,
the Sun is at its highest path through the sky and the day is the longest.

This June will be very different from the last few. Clay will be busy meeting, greeting, and listening to the voters of the 2nd Congressional District in North Carolina…AND…raising funds for his campaign. Hopefully, we will see many of Clay’s famous “selfies” and can share in the fun of seeing him win over the voters!

Looking forward to seeing Clay out and about this month. Meeting with people and talking to people in his district. I think there is a BBQ today for Clay, so am looking forward to reports and "selfies".

Another previous June event for Clay was at the Dover International Speedway, June 6, 2014, when he did an awesome job singing the National Anthem. The previous evening, he played inside Dover Downs at the Rollins Center. Ahhhh……….the memories!
Thanks for remembering the Dover event. There were so many special times, I had to leave out lots…but it sure was fun doing the "research".
I know what you mean!! I don't know how you keep up!! We had just watched the local news showing the race over this past weekend, so it brought back memories of the Dover event for me. Especially since they mentioned that it was the anniversary of the raceway's connection to Autism Speaks. Good days……… Thanks for ALL that you do!!
