Steadfast :  loyal, steady, constant, driven, persistent, dependable,  unwavering, faithful, resolute…

Doesn’t that sound like a young entertainer/singer that you know?

With all the talk and excitement of Clay Aiken being a part of  Celebrity Apprentice this year, I hope we haven’t all forgotten about

STEADFAST

This new album of classic songs is scheduled to be released on March 26th.  Have you ordered your album yet?

The album will include:

There’s A Kind of A Hush

Bring Back My Love

Breaking Up Is Hard To Do

Crying

It’s Only Make Believe

Misty

Unchained Melody

It’s Impossible

Who’s Sorry Now

Moon River

Decca Records has the album listed on its site.  So far, there are only 10 comments added to the page.  I hope that each one of you will visit the page and leave a comment.  It is important that Decca knows we have an interest in Clay and his music.

You can visit the site at

One of the exciting things about  being a Clay Aiken fan is watching him as he has matured and changed throughout the years.  The last tour, The Timeless Tour, had a joke using stools and it was hysterical.  Seeing Ruben pouting on his too small stool was a highlight of the tour.

Have stools always been a part of Clay Aiken tours?  Absolutely!  I went back and pulled some pictures from each tour.  Which picture is your favorite?  Did you choose it for the picture or for the memories of the tour?  We would love to read your thoughts.

Clay Aiken – The Time of My Life

By musicfan123 · Comments 9988(14)http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F2010%2F08%2F15%2Fclay-aiken-the-time-of-my-life%2FClay+Aiken+-+The+Time+of+My+Life2010-08-16+06%3A39%3A48musicfan123http%3A%2F%2Fwww.claynewsnetwork.com%2F%3Fp%3D9988

Saturday night, the Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi, MS, was the site of the final Timeless Tour concert starring Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard.  How appropriate that the final song was Time of My Life as it was obvious that both the musicians and the audience had a great evening.

The end of a tour is always filled with much emotion.  The Timeless Tour was no exception.  Each musician on the stage was a part of the family and they must have felt happy, excited and proud of their accomplishments.  But, they must have also felt exhausted and ready to get some much-needed rest.

The fans are lucky.  They can relive each concert, thanks to the many people who share their expertise in camera work.  Each one who shared their talent with us deserves a standing ovation.

We have so many memories from Biloxi.  The following are only a few of the videos and pictures that are available.

Clay Aiken – You Should Be Kissed And Often

You should be kissed and often
And by someone who knows how!
Rhett Butler, Gone With the Wind

I once heard these words in a song;
‘You must remember this…a kiss is
just a kiss…a sigh is just a sigh, ‘ etc.

With you…nothing…nothing, could be
further from the truth.

It’s that pivotal moment
It’s subliminal
This kiss, this kiss (It’s Criminal)
This kiss, this kiss

Faith Hill

A kiss is something you cannot
give without taking and cannot
take without giving.

Clay Aiken – Hammerstein, Here We Come!

By musicfan123 · Comments 9980(4)http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F2010%2F08%2F11%2Fclay-aiken-hammerstein-here-we-come%2FClay+Aiken+-+Hammerstein%2C+Here+We+Come%212010-08-11+12%3A34%3A02musicfan123http%3A%2F%2Fwww.claynewsnetwork.com%2F%3Fp%3D9980

Clay Aiken fans are headed to New York City to see the 14th concert of the Timeless Tour. Clay and Ruben Studdard will be performing at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan.

Located in the Manhattan Center Studios, the Hammerstein has 12,000 square feet and is in two levels. It is known for its elegant appearance and excellent acoustical design.

The ballroom seats 2,500 people for and musical performances. The two main balconies are unusually close to the ground and gently sloped. They seat a total of 1,200. There are six shallow balconies which are normally used for celebrity guests. The floor slants down to the stage area to enable those in the back rows to see easily.

The Manhattan Center was constructed in 1906 by the famous Broadway musical composer, Oscar Hammerstein. It was constructed as the Manhattan Opera House and was competition with the Metropolitan Opera.

The ownership of the center has changed hands many times over the last decades. The theater was converted into a large ballroom and was used as a Freemason’s temple in the 1930s and a trade union headquarters in the 1940s. It fell into disuse in the 1970. The current owner is the Sun Myung Moon’s Unification Church.

The Timeless Tour will add a special touch to the venue? Will you be there tonight? Fortunately, I will be there, cheering on all the performers and enjoying the music and fun.

One of the wonderful “Clack” gatherers kindly put some of her videos of the Lancaster Concert on YouTube. I love seeing the concert over and over. I wish that so many more people could see these fine entertainers and share in the fun. Enjoy!

Congratulations To

Clay Aiken

Jaymes Foster

and

Parker Foster Aiken

This is a special day for all three of you!

Children are special and you now have 2 years filled with excitement, laughter, tears and love.

We wish many more years of the same!

A Two-year-old child is so many things –
A tiny discoverer of butterfly wings,
A hugger of Teddies,
A sweet sleepyhead,
And someone to dream for in bright years ahead…

The Timeless Tour is making a stop in Connecticut tonight.  They will  be performing at the beautiful MGM Grand Foxwoods.  Located in Mashantucket, Foxwoods is considered the largest casino in the world.  It is also the largest convention facility in New England. The MGM Grand Theater has 4,000 seats.  It will be fun to see Clay, Ruben and the whole team as they charm the audience with their music and humor.  Lets hope there are no ladies in the first row who have celebrated all day with liquid refreshment!!

TV by the Numbers reported the following on Friday:

  • Disney XD’s premiere of Phineas and Ferb, Summer Belongs to You ranked in the channel’s top 3 telecasts of the year in Total Viewers – 1.32 million
  • Phineas and Ferb Summer Belongs to You posted huge triple-digit percent gains over last years numbers.  There was a 196% gain in viewers.

Congratulations to Disney, Phineas, Ferb, and especially Clay Aiken.  If you read here, you probably know what person caused such a gain in viewers!!

Sometimes pictures from Clay Aiken concerts just catch your eye.  These pictures by nyama are amazing.  They were taken in Snoqualmie.  What do you think?

Quote of the Day

It is not always about performance art, but about receiving positive energy from people with positive spirits. Sometimes we can see someone's spirit, and those are the people with great energy. Those are the people that get me through the day, especially on Broadway. -Clay Aiken
