Smokey Robinson and Ronald White wrote and produced a song that is listed as number 88 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of The 500 Greatest Songs of all Time.

What is this song that became the Temptations’ first U.S. number-one single in 1965?  It is “My Girl”, a song that was inspired by Robinson’s wife.  The song was featured on the album, The Temptations Sing Smokey. Today, the song is considered the signature song of the Temptations.

During the summer of 2005, Clay Aiken included My Girl on the playlist for his popular Juke Box tour.  As part of the Mo-town section of the tour, Clay was dressed in the style of the times and used a Fedora as a prominent part of his attire.  Clay’s Mo-Town look became a popular part of the JukeBox Tour.  The Fedora added just the right touch.

Did you get to see Clay live during the 2005 JukeBox Tour?  I was lucky enough to see the show at the Mohegan Sun and at Darien Lake.  I was on my feet the entire time.
