Thanksgiving is over….Now it’s time to celebrate

Christmas!!

Retro News Now is a source on Twitter.  They take interesting past occasions in entertainment and put them up on an anniversary.   They posted the following…

TV Guide Cover 17 Years Ago This Week, November 22-28, 2003:

TV Guide issued two different covers for this week.  The magazine came out when the American Idol Holiday TV Special was being promoted.  It was just after both Ruben and Clay’s CDs were out.  The article featured Clay and Ruben.

Holiday Theatre Hot List! 2018 Edition
By RAVEN SNOOK

The holiday season has officially arrived and seeing shows with your loved ones is a great way to celebrate. We’ve rounded up a dozen festive productions for different types of audiences, so whether you’re with the kids, out on a date, or looking to drink, laugh or sing along, there’s a production for you….

FOR REALITY TV JUNKIES: Ruben & Clay’s Christmas Show
Imperial Theatre, 249 West 45th Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues
Runs December 7-30. Tickets are occasionally available at the TKTS Ticket Booths.

American Idol BFFs Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken share backstage stories and seasonal songs in this concert-style Broadway special. Yes, the cheese factor is probably high (they promise Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra-type banter), but for fans of these quippy Season 2 competitors, this three-week engagement is must-consume comfort food.

I like that they included Ruben & Clay’s Christmas Show on the Hot List!

Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, I thought it would be fun to post a video of Clay singing Christmas music.  I think the following is a good one to start the holiday season!  It is a Christmas Medley from the Minneapolis Concert in 2007!

What a fun time of year!

I hope we have lots of news everyday!!
