It is the last day of May, 2014. I wish I had some news about Clay Aiken to report today. It seems this was a day for him to get all his ducks in a row as he prepares for his Campaign for Congress.

Today, we have a bit of information about two of Clay’s friends…the good and, unfortunately, the bad…
Variety – ‘The Arsenio Hall Show’ Canceled After One Season
The Arsenio Hall Show has stopped production, marking the end of the host’s efforts to restart his latenight franchise in syndication.
CBS had said that the show would return for a second season, but the latenight strip was facing significant downgrades from stations and the Eye determined that the show would not be financially viable. The show was in reruns this week and will not resume production. The show’s last original seg was May 21.
CBS said in a statement: “Unfortunately, ‘The Arsenio Hall Show’ will not return for a second season; while there are many loyal fans of the show, the series did not grow its audience enough to continue. Arsenio is a tremendous talent and we’d like to thank him for all the hard work and energy he put into the show. We’d also like to thank Tribune and all our station group partners for their support of the show.”
Hall had sought to revive the success he had in the late 1980s and early ’90s with his syndie yakked. The show, a joint production of CBS and Tribune, started out with promise last September but could not maintain its early momentum and struggled with guest bookings.
I am always sorry to hear when someones dreams are dashed. I am sure that Arsenio is disappointed. That being said, I only watched the show one night and I bet you can guess who was on the show that night! You can read the article at VARIETY

USA Today – Tyra Banks gets a new talk show
Look who’s giving the talk-show world another try.
Supermodel/producer/media mogul Tyra Banks, 40, will host and executive produce a new daily lifestyle talk show beginning in 2015, it was announced today by Disney-ABC.
The yet-to-be named nationally syndicated show will broadcast from Los Angeles, and sounds like it will be pretty similar to what she did the last time she had a talk show.
“From fashion and beauty to home and entertaining to empowerment and individual enterprise, the show will motivate viewers to improve and enhance their lives by providing cutting edge guidance. Tyra will also welcome celebrities, Internet influencers, experts and everyday people to share their own knowledge across a wide-range of topics that are important to the daytime audience,” read the statement.
Your basic talk show!
The Tyra Banks Show ran from 2005 – 2010.
I wonder if Tyra would like to visit with U.S. House Member, Clay Aiken on her new show. He always is a great guest on his visits to talk shows. You can read the article at USATODAY
