The 59th Grammys are officially over and according to all reports it was an evening full of stars, glamour and exciting music.

The Grammys were broadcast from the Staples Center in Los Angeles and aired on CBS.

According to Grammy.com:

…the GRAMMYs are the only peer-presented award to honor artistic achievement, technical proficiency and overall excellence in the recording industry, without regard to album sales or chart position…

Congratulations to…

Adele                                              Album of the Year

Adele – Hello                                Record of the Year

Adele Adkins & Greg Kurstin   Song of the Year (Hello)

Chance The Rapper                   Best New Artist

I am sure that all the performers at the Grammy Awards are very talented.   That being said, instead of the Grammy performances, I would much rather listen to Clay Aiken sing a wonderful song.  How about you?

The following is a video of Clay in Ft. Myers, Florida.  He is singing Measure of A Man. It is a beautiful performance, filled with emotion and wonderful singing!

What do you think?

  1. This is definitely a fan favorite! I get all emotional inside when I see Clay perform this song! Sometimes I listen to MOAM twice! Thank you for sharing!

  2. I didn’t follow Clay then. A lot of fun to watch. I wonder what he would think if he watched these old videos? I know that he has said that he doesn’t watch his performances, but I’d love to see his reaction!

  3. I wholeheartedly agree. I would much rather be watching or listening to Clay Aiken performing than to be watching the Grammys. I don’t feel that a show honoring performers should be a place to speak their political views. So I did in fact watch Clay videos instead. It was a much more enjoyable time. I don’t know why Clay would not want to watch himself perform. Seems like that would be fun. I hope he does occasionally. Thanks for the post. ❤️ Unconditional love for you Clay. You’ll always be a winner!!!

  4. Clay doesn't need a sequined jacket, mood lighting, or a cast of dancers behind him. He just sang from the heart with a beautiful voice and we fell in love with him.
