Clay Aiken – Crazy Things!!

“Forget the things that made you sad and remember those that made you glad.

Happy Weekend!”

Think back…way, way back…farther…don’t stop until you get to spring, 2003…May 23, 2003 – Season 2 of American Idol was over and Clay was being booked on many, many TV shows!

U-Pick Live was a program that aired on Nickelodeon.  It was on weekday afternoons and was filmed at the Nickelodeon Headquarters in New York City.

The show was for kids. Via the internet, viewers voted the shows that would air.  Most of the shows were cartoons.

There were 2 hosts on the show who took part in gags and sketches.  Sometimes they included members of the audience and celebrity guests.  They also featured interviews and performances by the celebrities.

The other night, I found a You Tube of Clay on U-Pick Live.  My first thought was…yikes!!  But, it’s fun to see one of the crazy things Clay did at the beginning of his career!!

(All I can say is poor Clay – what a crazy program!)

Do they still have programs like this in the afternoons?

  1. This was total silliness but Clay hung in there – gotta give him credit! It is totally amazing how many shows Clay showed up on and made himself known. It is always fun to see all of the different things Clay took part in – – – totally a

good sport! Just one of the reasons he is so loved.

  2. This old stuff was all new to me. Never even heard of this program, but Clay was such a good sport to act silly & sing silly songs for the kids. Thanks for taking us back to 2003 for a short visit.

  3. I can not believe what I just saw on the video. It was crazy. Clay did what he was to do. I guess. I do not know if shows like this are on TV. No children in my household. Clay was a good sport. I still love when he sings.
