Clay Aiken – Anyone Would Know He Is A Star

Yes, Clay Aiken is a star

Annie’s Song

You fill up my senses
Like a night in a forest
Like the mountains in springtime
Like a walk in the rain
Like a storm in the desert
Like a sleepy blue ocean
You fill up my senses
Come fill me again

Come, let me love you
Let me give my life to you
Let me drown in your laughter
Let me die in your arms
Let me lay down beside you
Let me always be with you
Come, let me love you
Come love me again

~John Denver

Denver wrote this for his then-wife Ann Martell after their first separation and near break up of their marriage in 1974.

He was reflecting on all the joy he found in his marriage and his relief that they were back together.

Clay Aiken sang this lovely song on April 7, 2016 for the Final Finale of American Idol.

He stood on a black stage with a spotlight right on him.

Anyone would know he is a star.

Clay’s performance was beautiful.

I just wish he could have performed 2 or 3 more songs!!

  1. What a great way to start the day! Clay’s performance of Annie’s Song was perfection. I haven’t watched American Idol for many years. I liked it better when it was more ‘amateur’ instead of all the bells & whistles.

  2. Thank you for the pictures and the video. A beautiful song and voice. Thank you CANN. I have not watch American Idol in many years.

  3. Clay sang so beautifully and I, too would like to hear more songs. I haven’t
watched AI in a very long time! Thank you for all that you do – love the photos!
